Jaynard Bostwick

Anybody else concerned with the fact that UF had no problem releasing him and is not blocking his transfer anywhere? They already lost Willis, Fowler graduated and Bostwick was needed. I'm just saying...

McElwain is just letting these guys leave because he didn't recruit them. Another reason, he knows they are going to suck so why not let all these guys leave and claim that depth is an issue when he got here and buy him a few more years on the job.

I really hope this year, how bad it is going to be for UF sinks McElwain's career and the UF program for a while. If Golden goes down this year it would make the transition to a new head coach easier because he won't be poaching our recruits in the period of having no HC.

Reason he's leaving is not because of level of play because the kid can play, but it's a reason that I don't think will go over well with the savages we have in this locker room lol.

Accidently gave you a minus, didn't mean to diss your comments.

This does happen to a certain extent at most schools when coaching changes happen. Michigan has had a few kids leave the program too this off season. Very similar to Willis and Bostwick's situations. Former highly-touted recruits that just hadn't lived up to expectations in their college careers for one reason or another. Well worth taking a flyer on in my opinion. Especially DT's because well... Golden.

Bring him in...

Kid can play....Cant turn down plus size dlineman....At worst he is a rotation guy.

Golden took toooo long to realize that the dline is where the sec really sets themselves apart form other conferences.

That is a really good 4-3 DL. Jenkins and Norton can play the zero technique or shade as a one tech. One of the few spots you don't mind two-gapping.

Moten/Bostwick can play the three technique and use that burst to split double teams, get penetration, cause disruption behind the line of scrimmage.

Willis/McIntosh could play that strongside DE spot and then slide inside to replace Jenkins/Norton on passing downs. The best DE types to move inside on passing downs are the ones with strong enough hands to handle the initial jolt of a G in traffic. It's very different than playing a wide-9 alignment on the outside, so not just anyone can go in there and be effective. I think both of these two are perfect for that role. Think of a Michael Bennett of the Seahawks type role. I have always been a huge fan of McIntosh.

That would leave us all sorts of combinations at the weakside end position and players who can play that wide-9 role on passing downs.

With the range of Grace and the LB's we have coming in, we could protect ourselves from that undersized front on passing downs and really cause pressure. A man can dream, but oy vey is next year's roster screaming for a 4-3 under alignment that presses on the outside, pressures from the interior, and unleashes the athletes at LB. Yes, we'd probably give up some big plays on playaction and misdirection, but we would cause so many more problems for the offense than we'd give up.

Poster on CS is saying that it's a done deal and Jaynard Bostwick is now a Cane.

Applause! Applause! Applause!

That's not true!

Kid is JUCO bound.

Why would the kid go Juco if he can come to Miami and yes he would sit out a year but he would be close to home an his little daughter (i believe he has). An Miami needs interior dline bodies for next year so it is a win win situation for the transfer.

Please share a little more insight into the information your sharing.

Sure.

He hasn't been involved with the team or been in school since January of this year according to most reports.

You still need a minimum number of credits and an acceptable GPA to transfer into Miami.

He has neither.

He can always come to Miami - but at a later date. It won't be this year.
