Tears Jayden Daniels sends Cease and Desist to LSU

First of all his number isn't even ******* retired. So this is ridiculous.

Second rosters are now ******* 115 players. And he had a single digit number which is heavily used by both sides of the ball especially after the rule change that any position except OLine can utilize single digit numbers

Retiring a number should be in "name" only basically. And honestly it should only be on the side of the football that that player played.... For instance if we retired #5 for Andre Johnson, there should be nothing regarding the defense being prohibited from wearing it imo - which is exactly the situation LSU is in. Daniels was QB. Pickett is a CB. What's the issue?

Secondly and this is how all number "retirements" should be handled - just put a ******* patch on the jersey honoring the player! Having to request permission/approval from the former player is ridiculous as well tbh...

Uhhhh...no.

As I pointed out, Gino's number was retired November 18, 2023.

Chantz Williams only wore that number for 1 or 2 more games max (not sure if he played in the bowl game).
 
He played 1 season at LSU. Just one. He’s a legend for winning a heisman but I mean it wasn’t even a knock out finalalst crowd where you were like holy s$$t. I don’t even remember his year. Now Joe Burrow I do remember. Not to mention his team went 10-3. Cam Ward is a legend at UM. Should’ve won an heisman and has done more for the U than Daniels any day of the week. So utterly pathetic.

Not referring to Chantz. Bryce wore it last year & Gino was asked about it on a local radio show.
