Jason Candle Recruiting/ Player Development

An offensive coordinator who adapts his play calling and system depending on the strengths of his players, in particular his QB?
Sir, it had been my understanding that's simply not allowed in football.

Hate is such an absolute. But honestly forgot about this guy until a day or two ago, and I wish his name hadn’t resurfaced. There are better options out there IMO. But at least he’s been vetted so if it happens we can consider him a legit Mario target, not a Gattis type who is a shiny object that we settled on after being turned down by others.

So relative to the Gattis hire, LFG. Candle brings leadership, recruiting and culture to the operation. But his offenses aren’t amazing. He is still a Plan B guy IMHO.

Depends on personnel.

When he had the QB & WR’s he would go uptempo quite a bit with wide splits.

But last year, they pretty much played just like Oregon did in 2021 with Anthony Brown at QB.
Fan?
