2026 Jasen “JRoc” Lopez 4* WR from Chaminade via True North commits to Noles [Football Thread]

I was never all that excited about this dude. He has JAG written all over him on the gridiron. Unless he's the second coming of Isiah Thomas or Mugsy Bogues, I don't see a future for him in hoops. If hoops is that important to him, why not choose WVU, Georgia or Florida who all have significantly better basketball programs than FSU does, assuming he did not want to be a Cane? And that's before we even begin discussing 2-10. Weird choice and out of nowhere.

Have fun in Trailerhassee.

FSU celebrating like they won the Super Bowl

In honor of @Empirical Cane he’s a slow midget
No disrespect to the kid but I’m sick and tired of recruiting these little *** mfers to watch them get bullied for 3 years and hope they stick around

Maybe my frustration is misdirected but it’s the same **** story every year for like 20 years with these 4 star WRs in Florida. I get he was highly productive and a bigtime program. I would rather have him than not (I’m greedy)

Him committing to FSU of all places just seals the deal for me

I like him, hope we can change his mind. Not sure about the basketball piece, but I’m confident Mario will keep working on him.

And maybe more positive basketball developments will help as well. Things seem to be going in a good direction there.

Edit: As things stand now, that is. If we add better WR then whatever, I can take or leave him assuming we keep Spafford.

Not embarrassing that kid wants to play in the worst offense in FBS after going 2-10 that's on him, clearly he doesn't want the NFL or that serious about football

I mean, if you want to make every excuse possible, you are free to do so.

But lame as **** to always blame the kid, or his people, or whatever else excuse you want to come up with other than Mario and staff flat out whiffed and got beat.

I said it the other day and will continue to say, as I have been the only one. Everyone was saying this was going to be a top 3 class, and everything I was told was pointing to this class not even being top 5 by people who in the program. But players like Lopez (Nole) and James Johnson (potentially UGA) were expected in this class by this staff. You miss in those two, forget top 5. We may barely stay top 10.

Well to be fair Miami hasn’t sent anyone noteworthy to the league in two decades, except maybe Osborn, and he was a transfer.
