why does it feel like Miami is the only big recruiting school with this problem?

They aren’t. It happens at all schools it’s just you all only read Miami boards.

Legendary, Mr. State, all American level players failed at this when it was common. I mean off top of my head Charlie Ward, Ron Curry, Nate Robinson. I don’t think he’s that level football-wise. Has there been a player in recent years that started fbs football and d1 basketball?

If he is that determined for both, we may be dodging a bullet. Same with Russell. I would love to have both on the team, but neither has shown to be the tier of athlete to tolerate the distraction.

If it's a head to head battle between this version of Miami (which is not perfect) and that version of Florida State and a kid picks Florida State... I am forced to think they aren't very bright and thus, we dodged a bullet.

FSU has 4 other wrs committed. Just about all of em are slot type wrs and the local one they have committed is faster than spafford.

Best of luck to him. Norvell likes to carry around 12 wide receivers, so he’ll have a slew of people ahead of him. Alternatively, he hadn’t held on to many recruits either.

Hopefully this is something that we revisit later in the year. A flip in November would be satisfying.
