I haven't been "proven wrong". But I'll take one for the team.

Jroc is a fabulous underrated talent who will soon lead F$U to the national championship. And Chaminade is a fine school that I hope will send UM its talented students and/or athletes for many years to come.

Everyone happy now? Can we enjoy taking a Top 75 blazing-fast out-of-state WR now without feeling bad?

He isn’t a good enough athlete to try to play both sports d1.

Legendary, Mr. State, all American level players failed at this when it was common. I mean off top of my head Charlie Ward, Ron Curry, Nate Robinson. I don’t think he’s that level football-wise. Has there been a player in recent years that started fbs football and d1 basketball?

If he is that determined for both, we may be dodging a bullet. Same with Russell. I would love to have both on the team, but neither has shown to be the tier of athlete to tolerate the distraction.

No. You give them a shot to do it year 1, and let them come to the realization they can’t do both on their own.

Between football and hoops, from the start of fall camp in August until the end of spring camp a kid could literally not have a single weekend off.

I guess if you are going to do both, a 2-10 school is a great option. Football season is over by Thanksgiving…

He plays at chaminade with 50000 wrs...he transferred INTO there.

FSU has 4 other wrs committed. Just about all of em are slot type wrs and the local one they have committed is faster than spafford.

GOOD EARLY WIN BY FSU. SOUNDS LIKE CANE TEARS A BIT HERE.

And as of right now FSU has seven likely returning wide receivers in 2026. So adding another 5 gives them a dozen.

This entire thread keeps proving to me why fans shouldn't focus on recruiting too much until the class is sealed and steps foot on campus.

The Restrepo comparisons never made sense to me.

Aside from being Hispanic, short & from Broward, they're nothing alike. I mean coming out of HS, he's not the same level of WR X was coming out of DFB.

From watching his highlights I came away repeatedly saying, "I don't see it".
I don't see elite burst
I don't see extra gear speed
I don't see quick feet
I don't see crisp savvy route running
I don't see an overall explosive athlete

He can jump & is a good hands catcher, but that's about it.

To me, he looks like a poor man's Troy Stellato.

The fact he's going to FSU all but confirms it for me. FSU's WR recruiting over the last past 7+ years has been nothing short of pure garbage. FSU is a WR graveyard, especially for South FL kids.

Take it with a grain salt, but I never got why this kid was so hyped on here... Actually I know why, but it didn't add up to me.
