Jarren Williams

Kyler sure looked fine with his height limitation lol Safe to say we will be in shotgun most of the time which is fineeeee with me!
And Drew Brees at one inch taller plays almost 50%, of the time under center. No much faith in your post

Well it tells me he couldn’t beat out a incompetent qb that couldn’t complete over 50% of his passes! Watch a game or 2 and you’ll see what the majority of us seen
It is absolutely amazing how many quality talent evaluators we have on this board. There about 10 posters that have that talent. You (and me) aren't one of them.

Jarren Williams has better physical tools than Martell. Bigger ,better arm, not as quick a runner but has plenty of running ability.
I dont Think Jarren has a better arm than martell. It’s really about the same with maybe a slight edge to tate martell tbh

Martell will beat out JW easily, if he is even still around next year. It is a different level of athlete. JW will probably weigh 265 by then and be wearing a bra I think anyways.

I have no clue who will start at QB other than hype. One thing I have not seen mentioned. Any QB in our spring training will have that advantage learning Enos system.over a QB who does not practice with the team until August.

Don’t think he has a bigger arm. Tate has a cannon.

Jarrens advantage is that he’s 5-6 inches taller.

Out of any of the QB's picking up the new system, Perry is at the bottom.
Simple but complicated will not make sense to Perry. It would nice to see a Miami QB that can make it through some progressions which in all fairness requires a good offensive line. Butler transfer Kennedy kid shoud be a good start.
#TNM starts with Oline.

Fuuuu**kk speak for yaself homie! I pick out talent every weekend in the club

If the coaches want to win, then they will give the job to whoever's the best.

Seriously doubt that anyone has been anointed nor has anyone been eliminated.

It’s going to be tough getting a QB transfer..I believe he will be safe.

Manny is trying to create a Murderer’s Row in the Quarterback Room. Remember this picture?

View attachment 77060

Schnelly made sure that his Quarterback Room was Second to None in the Country. That’s Jim Kelly in the center right next to coach Earl Morral. Mark Richt is on the right, Kosar is all the way on the extreme right. Vinnie Testaverde is on the extreme left.

Manny is using the Transfer Window like it’s used in the Premier League to build up his top passers. The previous regimes couldn’t hack it through recruiting, so Manny is using a shortcut.

Williams, if he’s smart, will stay and compete.

Wow. No body has ever had anything like the QBs room and you really want to hold it up as Manny’s plan. One NFL HOF, one NC QBs who won as 17 point dog, one Heisman winner, and a QB coach who just happen to quarterback most the only frigging perfect season in nfl history. I think manny is desperately trying to get one QB that group would wash towels. JJ’s QBs room was never as good and he inherited two of those guys. Manny is doing good, but let’s be a little real. It is aways great to see that picture.

That he is a true freshman.

I don't think Williams should be too concerned about Tate Martell coming in....the kid is talented in his own right.
(i think folks really are underestimating Jarren...especially now over a year in the program)

I expect a heck of a battle during the spring..and i wouldnt be surprised to see either one of emerge as the starter
/that's not a knock on Tate AT all.. i simply see Jarren having the higher ceiling and Tate maybe more "ready"(but he may be as developed as he's gonna get)

the winner here will be coach Diaz.
make it a true competition and the team gets rewarded with depth and solid play from the position.

I agree, but let's not forget about N'kosi. I'm not writing him off like other people. Kid is talented. Obviously, needs maturity. Too many people look at his stats and say, "Oh, 50% passer. Let's move on." I say.no way. You can't write off a young QB with talent. Kid is accurate given time. Like most QBs he got inaccurate when the pocket was collapsing and gets a little jumpy. I saw a lot of good things from him, bit he must mature and take it to the next level. It should be interesting who emerges.

Martell won't be on campus until he graduates from OSU this Spring semester. It will be interesting to see whose on top after the Spring, but I bet the OC will pull a Richt move and say both kids are close and no one has separated. This way it keeps everyone engaged so they won't transfer. There'll be a 3-4 way competition in Fall camp and the starter won't be named until after Fall enrollment. Again, to prevent any transfers before the 2019 season starts. We will lose 2-3 QBs at the end of the 2019 season mark my word. Our QB situation has issues because all the guys are separated by 1 year of eligibility or less. That means a mass exodus after the 2019 season that I alluded to earlier.

It will be interesting to se what happens if Martell is not the starter. I'm sure Brevin told him he'd be the the best QB on campus, but I personally don't believe he us. I think Perry has the most arm talent and Jarren is the most accurate, but we haven't seen much from Jarren. As I said, it's easy to discount Perry, but you have to ask yourself, "What would any of the QBs have done in our offense last year." Guys were not getting open and the offensive line was terrible which makes the QB look bad.

The good news is we get to see apples against apples. Each guy will get to run with the 1's in camp. Our team will benefit because someone will elavate their game to become the starter. Let's see how things play out.

Are you kidding me ? Tate Martell didn't even wait for Justin Field to land at the Columbus airport.
It kind of makes no sense really. Martell won't be on campus until he graduates. Why didn't he compete with Fields in the Spring. He could have still transferred after graduation.

Also, he all over social media like he's the starter here. I get it that Brevin's his boy, but he hasn't earned anything to be talking like he's "the guy." I honestly think he's trying to intimidate the other QBs into transferring . If I'm N'kosi or Jarren, I'm saying, "Bring it on!!!" There have been many a QB that have transferred and wound up 2nd or 3rd string. Martell played in a superior offense. What would our QBs have done in an OSU offensive with their power running game and throwing to wide open receivers? Tom Brady would have been on his back with our offensive line last year.

Anyway, we'll see how it all plays out.

Martell was rumored to leave even before the Justin fields news. That possibly could have been the possibile tipping points but who knows and who cares really
