Jarren Williams

For all of you bashing Martell and Williams, how about we give both guys a chance to show what they have with a quality offensive system in place. Martell is not Mayfield or Manziel...he is Martell, and may turn out to be **** good for us. Williams has all the tools, just needs true coaching and development. He may pan out to be great for us. Lets pump the brakes and hating on each other and making over the top comments based on not a shred of evidence that is relevant

Jarren has a chance to be a really good player in this offense. I hope he's motivated by the fresh start and competition because he has all the tools.

He was mishandled last year and didn't react as well as he could have.

Immaturity factor came in to play big time with him...

Yes. I get it. Every team would like to have 2 good QBs. However, they must have felts Fields is much better. They had to know Martell would transfer. No QB anywhere is going to sit more than 1 year 2 at most in becoming the starter. You can't keep 2 starting capable QBs that are the same or only 1 year apart.
5*Eason and 5* Fields left UGA....does that mean they're not elite QBs? You think Fromm is that much better? It would be different if you leave after losing to mediocre talent...you're not making any sense...

Huh? You don't make sense. What you talking about Willis? They left after competing. My point with OSU is that they knew there was a good chance they wouldn't keep Martell if Fields transferred and they were fine with that so obviously they think more of Fields than Martell. Otherwise, they wouldn't have made the move in the 1st place.

Don't try to spin it....your point isn't about leaving before competing....it isn't about who's better between two elite players smh... Burrows left before they named Haskins the starter...didn't want to wait around either....he turned out to be a good QB at LSU....maybe Tate felt some type of way cuz they told the kid he'd be the man after Haskins? Maybe he thought the new staff was going in a different direction with the O? We don't know exactly why he left....I do know OSU coaches and fans wanted him there before Fields came in the picture...that's good enough for me

Jarren has a great shot at starting next season. He shouldn't go anywhere.

To play in 2019, Tate would either need to graduate in May or be successful obtaining a waiver.

Not dismissing him. I'm just not drinking the koolaid thinking he is an upgrade from what we have. Everyone blowing him up as if he was the man at OSU and I pointed out that he was behind 2 other guys. He can come in and compete with our current QBs. May the best man win.
Dude. Seriously, watch his tape and while doing so, understand that he played the top schools Nation and won the National Championship all 3 years. Was undefeated at 43-0 with 1 interception. The Kool Aid is mighty tasty

with Tate coming and him most likely staying until his senior year what does Jarren Williams do.

the logical choice is he will transfer. i mean if he was talking about it before tate he will most likely transfer now.

if tate is the real deal he will be a senior when we play alabama in 2021. (yes im thinking ahead)

You have a lot of red in your bar for a reason.

Ever considered retiring from porsting?

I hope all the QBs stay. A QB room of Martell, Williams, Perry, Weldon is pretty nice. Lets see what Enos can do with these guys before wishing them off.
What the **** is Weldon doing.......hanging around?.....
No way will he smell the field as a QB at the U, so moving on to a smaller program and playing would be to his advantage........or does he realize this through the haze.?...

From Barry Jackson:

▪ Williams’ father said Wednesday that Williams will remain with the Hurricanes and Martell’s decision doesn’t change that.

“He’s fine,’ Williams’ father. “He’s committed to being there. It has never been an issue with competition with Jarren. The cream always rises to the top.”

We hear Williams is excited to work with new UM offensive coordinator Dan Enos. Williams didn’t play a snap as a freshman.
