Studied this list for quite awhile and found it amazing to the numbers that were included as opposed to who was left off...

The main problem with these awards is that they'r entirely predicated on being on the "watch list" to begin the year. It essentially guarantees that nobody can come out of nowhere to win an award in college football regardless of how awesome of a season they have. Even if you're on the watch list, you can get cut from a semi-finalists list if you have a mediocre first half of the season. So, even if you blow everybody away in the second half, you can't win because you got cut from the list already.

How about at the end of the season, they see who's the best and just give them the award like they do with the Heisman. I mean the Heisman has "finalists" that get invited to the ceremony but that list isn't finalized until the end of the year

This is why I posted that I wouldn't be surprised if our guys get slighted for ACC First Team recognition. Is what it is.

I'll be content with winning the conference, a playoff birth, and watching our guys show out in the league.

He also played 1 less game than most of them. The king of the Turnover Chain was in on 6 turnovers (2nd on list)

The usual ANTI-MIAMI sentiment and all that. Nothing more, nothing less. hUh.
