James Williams (Surgery)

Reading he needs surgery. It's crazy how many players have been dealt with season-ending injuries.
Well I mean, there is just one game left and a bowl. He could have turf toe and it be a "season-ending" injury at this point. Just get him healthy for next year. It did look like a groin based on where he was pointing and indicating on the field. Groins can be tricky injuries to heal and surgery indicates some kind of tear (typically).

Also do not take this as a bode of confidence in our medical staff. I have been screaming for Vinny to get canned back since the Golden days.

Strange as this is, Avantae being suspended for 6 games, kept him healthy and now we at least have Kam and Tae at safety. Not a ton of depth behind them, but at least the starters will be athletic and talented.

Wonder if it's on the shoulder he hurt earlier or the groin he popped against FSU. I'm not even sure which one would be better long-term.

If only there was a poster on this board that provided this information days ago.
I did a search and didn't see anything about surgery before I posted. I read injured groin, hip flexor, shoulder, but not about a surgery.

Sorry if my post came off in any way against you... was not the intent at all. Crib made a few posts in the last week about a player on defense needing surgery and the medical staff, and that was before the game. Was more a comment on chalk another one up that he called when there are folks on the board who kick a gift horse in the mouth.

Thanks for the clarification. I always try and not double post something I thought I missed.

Does it matter where it happens? The problem is it seems to be happening too often in our neck of the woods.
Injuries happen, it's football. Sometimes they're minimal and sometimes they're worse. Some players are just injury prone. You're talking about a safety that hasn't even been through a college level off-season yet getting a 72 play per game workload.
