Now if your saying dt recruiting is the most overvalued position in football MAYBE I can get around to that MAYBE. But if you're saying dt is overvalued on the field then I'd say put down that pipe. Dt is the most essential position to overall team defense. Dominant interior play is what separates good defenses from dominant defenses.

I think EDGE & Mike LB is more essential to overall Team Defense, but it's a matter of varying degrees.

There are a lot of SEC teams who have great NFL caliber DT's & there Defense still sucks & they never win anything.

So the girls in Athens don’t care about money? Georgia girls don’t have their hands out?

Again, we have almost 3 million people in this county and your labeling every woman under 30 as a gold digger come up. Another sofla misconception because of what’s being pumped in tv shows and videos.
The on campus student population at UGA is 36k with 58% being female.

So again most college towns have a small population and the kids have to either travel to the nearest city or only deal with the females on campus.

And although we have a large population of Hispanic women. We have a large variety of cultures.
And not only that, even if they are Hispanic, they can be all the way from blond hair blue eyes to black.
We even have Asians down here that speak Jamaican Patua or full blown Spanish. I know a Japanese girl who was born and raised in Peru but can’t speak a lick of Japanese but is fluent in Spanish and English.

Different strokes for different folks.
But for me at 18-24, ain’t no way I’m going to Athens over Miami if I’m getting paid that kind of money.

Also, if your talking about coeds, dade county has over 150k college students.
Between Barry, fui, and Miami Dade.
And that’s not counting all the different nursing schools down here. They’re full of poon!!
Then add medical residencies and academic internships.
This county is crawling with coeds. Now add all the college students form all over the world that invade this place every weekend.

Come on man it’s not even close.

100% agree. We need to cast a wider net. Swing for the fences. but can't rely on that without a Plan B... and C

I agree with this. But it shouldn't be an either/or. Anyone who has followed DT recruiting knows 2 out of 3 underperform. And it's almost impossible to guess which 2 will flame/JAG out. So we need to stack, and hope we get 1 or more of our recruits meeting expectations every year to get the right depth of talent.
