This is why I don't care for him, or FSU for that matter. The lengths they went to in order to protect him and their championship run during that whole investigation was sickening. I am not saying he was 100% guilty, but when he didn't at least get charged I knew something was up. If me, or any of you on here gets accused of rape by a woman and they do a rape kit and our ***** is found we are AT LEAST getting arrested and charged with rape. It doesn't mean the *** wasn't consensual, but now the burden would be on us to prove we didn't. They didn't even charge/arrest him because they knew that meant he would have been kicked off the team, thus ending their national championship hopes. I'm sure this has been talked about to death on this board but I just had to get it out there.

LOL good one! I don't know about you, but that combined with the other stupid ish he did while at FSU changed my perception of him. I used to root for the kid (except against Miami) because he seems to have all the physical tools to be a really good qb. Plus I actually met his mom (when I lived in Birmingham my former coworker knows his mom pretty well) and she is a sweet lady.

I completely disagree. Anyone who thinks he was successful because of talent around himat FSU didnt watch enough. Guy was an absolute gamer with a very high game IQ. QB busts usually dont have it mentally ala Ryan Leaf or take awhile to develop into an average because of physical shortcomings/scheme qb ala Alex Smith. Speed of game will eventually slow down and i think he will be a pro bowler. He's surrounded by a Rings ransom of talent in Tampa OLine is the only question mark. Could have an Andrew Luck like rookie year. Lota sacks, hits, ints while throwing for plenty of yards and tds. Not saying he will develop into as good a qq as Luck just comparing rookie years. All this from someone who absolutely hates the Noles but recognizes the talent.

you dont throw 15 interceptions in the ACC to just 25 TDs or whatever it was and be a gamer.. dude has an all star team around him and still tossed them left and right

Besides the rape allegations what did he do that so horrible? Stolen crab legs that were really a gift? Said "**** her in *****"? Cmon, those are stupid **** but dude is 20 yrs old. Think about what Ken dorsey would have been able to do on that fsu team.. look how far he made it in the NFL and I promise you his numbers would have been a LOT better

Yeah, and they won a natty and go into the playoffs. Winston took them to the next level. Its stupid to say just cause Winston threw 15 picks in the ACC he wont have success. He forced alot throws cause it was basically on him to get them back. Talented team wont get you that far. You still need a QB to push you over the top and thats what Winston did for FSU.

I don't know if Winston will be a bust. But I would be very surprised if he outperforms Mariota. He's a far better QB than Winston, in my opinion....But we'll see out it all unfolds....

You are right... Too be fair, the NFL needs more players to take chances down-field... Everyone throws the check down with the exception of. A few qbs... That being said, it's still early Bradshaw, The Mannings, Aikman and Luck all struggled as rookies... Look how they turned out... The guy wasn't that bad in his first preseason game... He's a rookie... It's amazing how people harp on his pics as if none of the greats threw pics... Marino(threw more pics his final year at Pitt than Winston), Elway and Favre all threw a ton of pics... Peyton threw 26 as a rookie... Luck threw 18... None of them were considered busts...
