Jalen Hurts visiting Sunday

Reasons Jalen should choose Miami:

  • Miami is a much more beautiful place to live.
  • Women are much more attractive in Miami.
  • Talent at TE is way stronger at UM (Brevin was #1 ranked TE and Mallory was also very highly ranked - Top 5).
  • Talent at WR is mostly young but stronger than at Maryland.
  • Our RBs will be elite.
  • Our defense ranked #2 this past season.
  • Future all pros and NFL HOFers play at Miami (not Maryland).
  • Miami is stronger academically.
  • His QB coach is now OC at Miami.
It would be a huge shock to me if he chose perennial also-ran Maryland over the U. I can't find one reason why he would do that.

I’m surprised he’s not even considering auburn

Seems like he’d wanna beat Bama at least I would after not even playing in the second half vs Clemson

Esp since they don’t win the sec without him idk what saban was doing

Are people seriously saying that Jalen Hurts wouldn't be the best QB we have the moment he steps on campus?

Jesus Christ, some of our fans truly are moronic troglodytes.
Exactly. Our QBs suck but are also best in the country when compared to someone else with some of these idiots.

So? He's meh.

I'd rather see Enos try and develop Jarren Williams

And what if he turns out to be another Perry🤷‍♂️
No one knows cause he’s never played a down in a game.so he turns out to be like Perry and your go to guys are a pornhub star or a weed junkie both a tick from getting suspended for the umpteenth time.

So why not bring in an experienced QB like one that ohhhhh led his eam to a 26-2 record and won a natl championship. Let him start, get Williams some action in mop up( like Mork should have done) to see if he can actually play and if he can you have your guy for 2-3 years after Hurts leaves.

A seems like a better idea but what do I know 🤷‍♂️

At this level and situation he’s just going to have to mature a little quicker.

Day care and cry rooms do NOT work in the real world or in multi billion dollar college football business.

The like here on this board don’t put up with this , it is what it is.

We want Trevor lawerance type players we thought JW was one he gave tis impression of this ... the prove it ir leave.

I challenge JW .. train like no other so you can be like no other OR LEAVE

WE ARE HERE FOR ACC : NC RINGS

DAY CARE IS OVER.

I love the comments new OC said .

UNLESS YOU THINK CHAMPIONSHIPS EVER SINGLE MINUTE IN EVERYTHING YOU DO HERE THEN YOU DO NOT BELONG HERE.

GOCANES

Hurts is exactly what we need. Experienced QB who can mask the deficiencies of our OL with his feet. Throwing Jarren out there as a freshman behind that line is a suicide mission. Let him sit and learn behind a real QB and real QB coach. He can take over as a sophomore

Why would that make more sense Cane? The QB Coach who elevated his game is the OC here now?

Just watched almost every highlight of his that I could.

We need this kid. He’s developed so much as a passer and his ability to run is dynamic. If Enos runs anything similar to what Bama did with him, this guy will give us something we haven’t seen in years: an elite QB that doesn’t turn the ball over and is a dynamic weapon through the air and on the ground. Also, a true leader of the team.

If we get Hurts and Enos runs him out of a power spread giving him enough opportunities to use his legs, we’ll have a floor of 10 wins.

I like drop back passer but against our competition this guy will score major points and take us to acc title game. Gives us a shot against gator and should beat The noles.

Hurts doesn’t do that against UGA the year before. That was all Enos. He was a glorified RB before Enos got there. He also stayed so he could learn from Enos and Locksley. I’d think Miami would make the most sense.

Saw today where Miami's QBs combined for a QBR that ranked 87th in the country this year. Good for 13th (out of 14) in the ACC.

Jalen Hurts 2017 was 7th in the country.

And coincidentally, in 2016, which was his true freshman year, he ranked 41st. Brad Kaaya ranked 40th, and was a junior.

So basically as a true freshman he had the same metric as Brad Kaaya, then exploded up to 7th after he had a year of experience under his belt, and lost his job in 2018 to a generational talent who very well may be the #1 pick in the draft next year. That much improvement from 2016 to 2017, and now he's TWO years more experienced since then.

Oh, and even though a lot of it was mop-up duty, his 2018 QBR? Had he had enough snaps to qualify, he'd have been 3rd. Behind only Kyler Murray and Tua Tagovailoa.

You sold me!! I did want him for his leadership, and coming from such a winning program. But after putting up with Rosier i really wanted an accurate QB to take advantage of our weapons (especially if JT4 comes back:) ) . But I could see him Killing it his last year. If he could improve on his accuracy, wed be able to make a run.

Agree with all of that and the fact Miami is already built to compete for a division title in Coastal, rematch against Clemson, and possible playoff spot. Hurts does have a better shot of starting at Maryland given their starter is returning from knee surgery, but all the other factors weigh heavily in Miami's favor.

If Malik went into that UGA game hed throw 3 ints and Jeudy would've slapped him. They believed in Hurts because he's a tremendous leader and has that dog in him to win

It would be so great to get Hurts but my guess is that he will most likely land at one of the other schools (Oklahoma, Auburn, Maryland). I’m still going to hold onto hope though until something is official.
