Jalen hurts in the portal

That means we got Tommy Kennedy, Asa Martin, Bubba Bolden, and Jalen hurts.. all of which who can play immediately and will help the team dramatically and all were BIG recruiting battles with major programs Nationwide

For all the misses ppl have been *****ing about, these wins should not be understated and are way more important for short term success

Of course it's a long shot but if we did get hurts, Bolden, and whatever OC he announces tomorrow.. Manny is on a F'n tear right now and Killin it

Best of all? Manny has not panicked. He is filling out class not with scrubs to reach a certain number but with blue Chip caliber recruits. All those guys are 4 star caliber players. Kennedy who went to Butler was wanted by AU/Tx/ and OU. Imagine all these additions with more mature grown men and you add a Halen Hurts at Qb. 🔥🔥

2/4 were Richt recruits and if rumors are to be believed so is Bolden. Manny recruited sh*t so far, not even an OC.
No hate, just keeping 100

Obviously not the plan for this to be a yearly thing. Did you happen to see our recruiting class this year? This is a short term fix and one that is desperately needed.

If u go back and read my other messages in that thread, instead of taking this one of context, u would see that I said this is a perfect short term answer for Manny.

No where in my statement did I say Miami needs to bring a Grad Transfer QB every year. As of now our QB room is thin, so yes I expect Miami to explore the transfer market for QBs this year, no I do not expect them to explore it every year. Regardless of your perception of the transfer market, the truth is that Miami needs to explore the transfer market every year because we’re not going to win every recruitment, we need to utilize the best option to build a complete team. Building a successful blueprint with the transfer market is even more realistic now because of the new transfer rules and eligibility rules, we couldn’t have gotten all of these players to potentially start and impact next season if this was 3-4 years ago. Thinking that Miami will lock down SF for the next few years, if they win a couple of more games is Naive, even when Miami was in its heyday we weren’t getting absolutely everyone and until Miami wins a National title or two, I don’t feel comfortable going against Nick Saban or Dabo Swinney for a recruit, you can respectfully disagree with my views, but understand that my views and Manny Diaz views are exactly the same, and until proven unsuccessful, I trust his vision more then anyone on CIS

You're not saying anything new. Miami already explores the transfer market EVERY year. The fact is, bringing in this many transfers is the perfect short term answer for Manny and will not continue long term. You thinking we are going to bring in 5 transfers every year to come in and start for us is not realistic, sorry to tell u.

So, if Manny reached out to Jalen then the offensive staff is in place. I don’t see anyone giving Miami a look without knowing what direction the O goes.

saw this earlier.....best fit is here tho....he's basically a wind-up, put him in, and turn him loose starter, unless another QB dramatically emerges in the offseason

Our player development has been mostly horrible for years and coaching changes have not fixed it yet. The players that improved significantly we self motivated types like Perryman. Until that changes, this grad transfer thing is good option. The big bag programs spend the $$$ on HS recruits so we have a chance. Plus, these are now men who need a short run platform to NFL more than a new car. We can play on this field. Hurts is not my type of QB but Rosier did most of his damage with his feet so this guy could be huge here.

I love Jalen Hurts attitude. He would bring championship attitude to this team which is sorely needed. Would mean we win about 10 games next year if not more.

No, Banda and Diaz have been working on Bolden for months according to ivins

And I didn't say all 4 would be diaz credit, i said Bolden hurts and the new OC this week would be considered Killin it

The more I think about it, the more I like Jalen as a grad transfer QB.
1) Huge upgrade at the QB room mentally
2) Hard worker, has improved as a QB every year. Also shown by the fact that he came in ready to play against Georgia
3) Plugs a major hole this coming year
4) Seems like a leader, and we desperately need that on offense. Our best leader last year on offense was probably Malik...
5) Didn't quit on his team like Kelly Bryant, stuck with them (points 2 and 4)

As usual, I'm cool with bringing in a transfer as long as they're not being guaranteed to start. We need real competition. Iron sharpens iron

Things change. All we need to is get a couple transfer kids drafted high and we will do it easy. Come to the sun and land in nfl money. They are not coming to study ocean science. It is about them not getting the pro interest they need. We could be perfect for that. When we win, all eyes turn to us like nobody else. When we lose, we still land kids in the pros.

Agreed. We've been successful with transfers, and I think it's because current players view us as a good jumping point to the NFL. We just need to get that mindset in with the high school crowd somehow...

Bogle at UM -> may make the league
Bogle at Bama -> may see the field

Couldn't agree more, but you don't even have to be this deep. It can just be:

1) Much better than anyone else we have and we play the gators in Week 1.

I don't see your point.

Us being known a Transfer U is not the answer nor will it happen. We have the ability to recruit at a high level. The only reason we are in the position we are in now is bc of some bad recruiting classes. Again, this is the perfect answer short term but don't get used to it with Manny as he builds this program.

U have to realistically think what impact being known a Transfer U will have on recruiting high school kids. How would u sell kids on playing time if you're known to bring in transfers? U couldn't. End of discussion.
