Jaiden Francois to the portal

THIS is the year that the NCAA might "give back" ICs.

We ain't never getting one back for Asa Martin, he spent a semester at UM, but I could certainly see the NCAA approving "IC refunds" for kids who enrolled in January 2020 and "returned home" after one aborted semester out-of-state.

Just my opinion, but I could definitely see the NCAA being a soft-touch this year when it comes to appeals.

The real question is whether anyone could get a one-time "credit limit increase" for taking in these poor castoff kids.

What effect would this have on us, in particular?

It seems a fair number of Nebraska fans weren't surprised by this either. They are trying to figure out if they can get the ICs back for Francois and Gray. LOL Seems they only got 2 practices out of them

I do think it's funny that Nebraska may lose their 6th, 8th, 9th, and 10th highest rated kids from the 2020 class before Game 1 is played.

It's almost Gaytor-like.

I feel bad for the kid because he had to live in Nebraska for a few months. Manny pulled his scholarship right before his announcement and he pretty much had to sign with Nebraska, that’s why he was crying.

If it's just "IC forgiveness for kids who transfer out", not much, as we haven't lost anyone from the 2020 signing class.

If, though, the NCAA decides to be "nice guys" and let schools that are below 85 take a couple of extra homeless kids, then we might could benefit.

Yes the second part is what I was thinking of when I originally asked the question. It would be probably the only way we can get back to 85 in the near future

I don’t care if we take him or not. He does have elite ball skills though. Something happened in why he went to Nebraska because even after he signed with them he was immediately liking all Miami tweets from then on, oh well though

Well, if we DON'T actually lose a bunch of kids from 2020, and then we sign a full boat in 2021, we should be in **** good shape for the 85. I'm hoping for decent coaching retention (dump a couple, but not so many that it changes our schemes), and continued improvement in the recruiting staff approach.
