Jahvontae Dean

This is completely incorrect. Don't make up something just to make something up. Most scouts believe the Miami pro day timings are correct as they've been outdoors on natural grass (with that said the new facility may change that since it was indoors for the first time and people haven't evaluated the turf). The two most disregarded schools for scouts on pro day timing are Ohio State & UCLA.

Again, this is a new year with new facility and turf. But don't make things up so you can enjoy the attention.

Dude, that is such a cool story. I'm honored you wrote it.

But you're wrong. Enjoy your evening.

Might get drafted purely on potential. I'm sure there will be a coach who feels they can coach him up. His combination of size and speed will be too hard for some of these NFL teams to pass up.

Kid running 4.2 and 4.3 but couldn't start here bc he wasn't a "tackler"....GTFOOH

Someone is going to steal Willis. If he plays with the passion he showed last year and stays sane enough to avoid suspensions he will be one of the best DTs in that corporate league.

He’s lightning quick, and that’s way more important than running fast in a straight line for 40 yards.

I agree with this. It's hard to shake those "character concerns" once you're tabbed with them. But you're right. If he stays smart and dedicates his life to football, he can and will be an All-pro DT. What I watched last year was the most dominant DT I've seen here in 20 years. He was nothing short of spectacular.

Tackler, "coverer", nothing....just fast but no one can be a "coverer" when we are taught to give up inside leverage.

Won't argue that. I was just taking what you said as you were insinuating he should have played more just because he was fast. And Rumph has done at least a decent job developing kids into solid players. I was just saying just because you're fast doesn't mean anything. What I saw from Dean was a kid who lacked instincts and played a lot slower than what he ran today in shorts. There was a lot of thinking and not a lot of doing.

To Dean’s defense he was a JUCO guy and only had 1 offseason in a D1 program so his ceiling is very high. He’s a better prospect coming out than Sam Shields was and he turned out pretty good. Still tied for the team lead with 3 picks this season.

The reality of today is Chock & Dean did enough to play themselves into convo for late 6th or 7th round, but at the least have become priority free agents. Both should rather go undrafted than being drafted late. Willis continued his slide today and the tape has shown he's not as good as people with CIS believe. Had a chance to be drafted late 3rd but now that ship has probably sailed.

Nah..I was disappointed that someone with his skill set did't have the fortitude to tackle like he's supposed to...

That’s fair. And I didn’t mean to insinuate he wouldn’t be drafted or be picked up as a free agent. There’s not much the NFL cares less about than if you’re actually a good football player or not. His measurables are good, that’s usually good enough for the egomaniacs in the NFL.

I have no problem with you being an agent (congrats), but this is just false. I hope your guy pans out, but this is funny. Also, I'm pulling for him not to be drafted so you can pick and choose where he goes as a priority FA. This is where you earn your money - more long term than short term.

No worries at all just pointing out the upsides

No worries I won’t be offended. Not saying he’ll have the career that shields has had, but I think his ceiling is higher coming out. Taller at 6’1” vs 510.5, has longer arms, both elite speed. Dean also had 3 picks as a senior and has had some more production than shields did as a senior playing corner.

Jaquan won't get drafted earlier than the 4th round with these times.😢😢

Hes got an athletic profile of an undrafted player...**** be lucky if he us drafted in the 5-7 range. Small, slow, unathleic.

I like (not love) the film. He's a good player...but the process was not kind to my dude.
