Jacob and wingo

I think I even read on here where someone thinks Upshaw has gotten more snaps than Coop this year???

I think some of these people only see what they want to see and ignore the facts in order to support their message board narratives.

Some of the **** I read on here is wild!
Is it not true?

Also whoever said Mali needs less reps clearly didnt watch the game or understand his importance on this team. Miami was well behind the sticks multiple times on 3rd and long and all plays went to Mali who delivered multiple huge conversions plus a TD. This offense was not in rhythm at times and Mali/Mensah bailed them out.

I highly doubt it, yesterday was the only time i saw coop not in the game with the starters. Upshaw was splitting snaps early on with moore
Upshaw had more snaps in the fsu game and I assume For yesterdays game as well

Fair point especially on the Briggs point but it hit his hands. High level receivers make that catch. Full transparency, I’m still a huge Upshaw fan. My opinion is he needs to make that catch. I have no problem w your take as well
Agree it was 4th down. Throw the short one for as easy a first down as you could ever get.

Only fades are 50/50. There’s 6-8 other routes we can run on the outside when pressed. Most teams play 8-10 yards off on the outside against us and that gives an opportunity for 8-10 different routes on the outside. We don’t use our outside receivers unless it’s a screen. I was shocked to see us run a few deep outs with Barkate and once with Upshaw the series after the drop. We need to make defenses defend the entire field. Before yesterday’s couple of throws, when we threw outside, it was always out of trips and it’s ALWAYS a screen. this offense could be much better
Yeah 31 of 37 for 387, 4 scores and no picks is a sure sign of a crappy scheme, bad execution, bad coaching and lack of focus. You really nailed it.

I would think with Coop being in the starting lineup all season, that he would have more snaps than Upshaw. At least more meaningful snaps that is.

If Upshaw has more snaps than Coop for the season its only because of the starters being benched in favor of the backups in the games where we had big leads.

No, i

Like others have stated early on Upshaw was splitting time with Josh Moore , but recently he has had an uptick on snaps. Top 3 in receiver snaps since that injury to moore

1- I Never said it was a crappy scheme. I just pointed out one of it’s weaknesses.. which are glaring.
2 - Pitt sucks at defending the pass. Their magnum opus is being the number 1 rush defense lol. They play everyone up and everyone who has played them has bombed them. So we ain’t did nothing crazy by almost throwing for 400.
3- I never said anything about bad execution or bad coaching or lack of focus lmao
HOW TF did you get that out of what I said?!
I just said the offense lacks the usage of the entire field, which is true

I’m not completely sold on Upshaw who has done okay imo. I’m just saying I dont See anything he can provide that Jacobs or wingo can’t if not more in a more expanded role

What? He blocks and makes at least one great play EVERY game. He balled v FSU.

The only issue is that he plays the same position as the person that is becoming the best WR in Miami history

Ya’ll might kill me but we are running toney into the ground imo. And i worry about him lasting into brutal playoff stretch. Dnt get me wrong, he’s elite and needs most touches but 19 catches??!?!? And the next most wr’s had 3. Spread the ball around.

You might not be able to tell at the moment but Toney WANTS/DEMANDS "ALL" of the smoke.

In this day and age it's increasingly difficult to tell superstars aside from your seniors or last year players "no",...especially when you've ageed with them preseason that they'll be given the opportunity to go after accolades like the Heisman within the framework of the team.

You want the kid back next year.

He was hurt and came back and dominated the game. That's "HIM." The other players are not HIM. You might want to think or believe otherwise, but we're nowhere near the same team without him.

Same with Mensah. I'd be more worried about him and the OL keeping him upright the next couple of weeks.

But Toney's gonna Toney and you're not gonna tame a bull.

And once we have a 24-7 lead, take him off PR and only bring him back if it gets close
That can become 24-14 really quick.

No....and it's just not gonna happen, no matter how much you may want to "save" our best player for heights we've not even reached yet and might not reach.

Toney's the guy. He makes great decisions almost always back there too. I'd get over it.

When a team puts up passing numbers like that, any comments about "I pointed out 1 of it's weakness, which are glaring" is more than a bit much. Think whatever you want King. Maybe if/when Dawson moves on UM will reach out to Use The Whole Field KingB02

I still think upshaw is more of a slot he should be mali backup imo. I think they probably value his route running more than Jacobs? I know wingo is behind coop. Seems like the wrs have only mastered one role so we don’t move them around, if we did i think wingo would be in upshaw’s spot

The drops. Disciplinary was maybe the wrong word he’s not in trouble but they let wingo get a shot
Upshaw runs great routes and puts himself in position, but I jut don't know about his hands. That was a really bad drop this saturday and he hasn't shown the ability to consistently make those concentration catches.

Insane some of you are defending, making excuses for the Upshaw drop…classic CIS.

The dude dropped the **** ball! Period. And you
Must catch that ball! No excuses. I’m all for Jacob and Wingo getting more reps. The strong minded rises to the top and these two are pushing and coming for Upshaw.

You must catch the ball, yes. But sometimes, you don't.

The coaches are around these guys everyday, and they know the plays being called. I think they've got the "who should play on which downs" thing on lock @ the WR spot. Playing time is EARNED here. So I'll go with whomever they're putting out there, since we cant even begin to measure who's earning what throughout the week.
