Jacob and wingo

Coop got disciplined for a quarter i think creating an opportunity for wingo, still think he had some key plays too. I wish we moved guys around more like 2024
I’m not completely sold on Upshaw who has done okay imo. I’m just saying I dont See anything he can provide that Jacobs or wingo can’t if not more in a more expanded role

I still think upshaw is more of a slot he should be mali backup imo. I think they probably value his route running more than Jacobs? I know wingo is behind coop. Seems like the wrs have only mastered one role so we don’t move them around, if we did i think wingo would be in upshaw’s spot

Do you know what Coop did?
The drops. Disciplinary was maybe the wrong word he’s not in trouble but they let wingo get a shot

Should've been in the rotation! Dawson gotta do better with personnel and downfield pressure.
From previous games and interviews it seems that Dawson does have much say on who gets in the game and who doesn’t… the position coaches do.

I’m sure his opinion matters through the week to a degree but in game the decision comes from elsewhere.

I agree with this thread 💯! We need to find more snaps and targets for Jacobs and Wingo. They both bring that deep threat and will complement Toney and Coop in the pass game. Jacobs “Mossed” that Pitt defender yesterday on a deep ball. I haven’t seen that from our WRs this season. And Wingo always makes plays when he gets targeted and he has shown that he can go deep, block and run precise routes. This is a good time to start working them in to our offense

A few dropped passes. On that first one I think Mensah could have led him to the middle of the field more but honestly that was an excellent play by the db.
Yeah if that ball doesn’t float too long it’s a TD. Had to stop to wait for it a bit which allowed the DB to catch up.

I thought our guys moved around more before also, Coop mentioned in one of his presser that was an adjustment that guys dont move around in offense much at all

Upshaws drop was egregious. Went from going up 24-0 to 17-7. Those kind of drops completely change games
Upshaws drop was behind him and the defender nearly got a hand on it. Should have just ran or dumped it to Briggs. Mensah pulled a cam ward there threading the needle to get more yards when the easy pass was right there. He missed a lot of reads.

I agree and I was ****ed when it happened. With that said, I believe Briggs was open and thought DM should’ve passed it to him. He has definitely forced some passes where could’ve passed it elsewhere.

As a team, there’s a few things to clean up on both sides. And despite that, we’ve been dominating.

Yeah should have gone to the easier play which was to Briggs however even though it was behind him a little, he could have caught it. But last week towards the end of the regulation vs fsu I remember A drop from Upshaw as well

Both Jacobs and Wingo provide a dynamic that if other guys are dropping the limited opportunities they get, they will be passed up. Dropping 4th down passes when a guy like Jacobs provides the offense a different dynamic should get rotation goin even tho we know we barely rotate.. Yesterday was first time I have seen other guys get a look

I got ****ed the moment he dropped it. Then saw how badly he was beating himself up. I kinda felt bad for the kid. He knows he should have caught that pass. I would imagine he will feel like **** until he catches another throw his way.
