And stunts/overloads to start with I'd bet.Speed rushers are gonna give him an issue till he gets settled in.

Yup that’s exactly what it is, he’s that strongThis. I watched it a few times and was like why does it look like the DEs are slow. It’s because once they make contact with Cantwell he’s just so strong he neutralizes them
I just told the ol’ lady about that clip over lunch. He stoned Wilson and made him look like a Nepalese soccer player. I’m starting to get irregularly excited about this kid and the entire offense in ‘26. As the old folks used to say, “that boy is a man”.Stopping Damon Wilson - no big deal.
Amazing.
That boy hits like ‘90s George Foreman, which is to say that he’s deliberate and heavy handed, which is something you can’t teach in boxing, you either have it naturally or you don’t.Yup that’s exactly what it is, he’s that strong
Not to make too much of a big deal out of a quick practice clip but how many DEs we gonna play this year faster on the edge than Lightfoot and Wilson?Yea I agree with that, happened with Bell early then he settled later on
Bell also struggled with neutralizing the bull rush as well; there's too many snaps of him getting blown back into the lap of the QB. The issue was because his physique was top heavy @ 6ft9, it prevented him from being able to anchor effectively against power moves. Cantwell won't have that problem; not only does he already possess NFL caliber strength as a freshmen because of his powerlifting background, but his physique is also proportional.Bell never settled in apparently then cause speed rushers gave him an issue all the way till his final snap. Jackson I have no doubt will figure it out. Gotta remember he hasn't even grown into his body yet.
“Holding, number 79, Miami”
Have no clue man but even if it’s some bs practice thing you can tell that boy is strong. It’s like they running into a wallNot to make too much of a big deal out of a quick practice clip but how many DEs we gonna play this year faster on the edge than Lightfoot and Wilson?
Yep and I agree there will be struggles. Bell had a rough start and got so much better week to weekHave no clue man but even if it’s some bs practice thing you can tell that boy is strong. It’s like they running into a wall
Far less of an issue. Kids VERY smart and he seems to learn real quick. I've only been out to a few practices so far but I've noticed he gets face time once and mirabel doesn't really seem to have to circle back on him.And stunts/overloads to start with I'd bet.
The thing that kind of makes me pause (or maybe its me over thinking idk) is the Hawk take, same like Bell. They did not believe in Samson and got Bell, and it makes me think that dude may play this year cause they aren't comfortable at RT yet. We need Matthews like this year, maybe I am wrong it wont be the first or last time. I do trust they will put the best 5 by the fourth game of the season. Cause I remember them throwing Bell out there and he wasn't even close to ready and the schedule lines up for us to mess around and tweak the OL early and often. It's just a thought that keeps popping up in my head. I like McCoy at guard more than T tbh.Yep and I agree there will be struggles. Bell had a rough start and got so much better week to week
Seems like this kid is going to be further along than Bell was
Changes the game for our line this year tbh. Tired of the McCoy talk
Samson just gotta get/stay healthy
With Bell it's important to remember he recently grew into his frame and he went his whole life without adequate coaching & no defined position. I'm certainly not trying to **** on the kid. His reality is more than likely if you see how much better he got in his brief time here and you apply it to THE RIGHT NFL TEAM(which is crucial because as a whole the NFL has no interest in having to coach someone up) the kid will continue to get better and better. But it's not doubting him or ****ting on him to acknowledge what he struggles with currently. Cantwell came here not only with the background that he has but also with personal coaching for quite some time. Mentally he also comes from the right place which is possibly the most critical fact because his parents were both world class athletes. Zero concerns with him.Bell also struggled with neutralizing the bull rush as well; there's too many snaps of him getting blown back into the lap of the QB. We all know Cantwell is going to be a 1st rd pick in 3 years; how quickly he reaches that level will depend on agility & technique refinement.
