CJ Bailey has been JJ Smith's and JO JO Traders qb since they were like 8. I know i coached against them lol

I dont care if CJ was korean (@k9cane )....IT WAS THE ONLY PLAY we had of getting JJ ...the idea of keeping them home and continuing to play together. The local draw may have up the chances for us.

I'm perfectly aware how long they played with each other. I'm also aware that didn't ever give nc state a chance to get Jeremiah. If your point is only maybe by offering CJ earlier and giving him the nil offer he asked for it let's us tug on Jeremiah's heart strings a lil more than sure I guess that's one plausible reason to offer him. Well ignore the fact he never considered nc st once CJ was their and as you just pointed out he's known JoJo just as long and that ultimatydidnt make a difference to get him to come to us either... Seems like an awful lot of hope and prayers for everyone else just so they can turn around and say this is where Mario ****ed up yet again. Not gonna get into Jeremiah again and honestly if this wasn't you who I don't mind talking ball with I wouldn't even answer anything else about CJ bailey. To me this is the dumbest argument ever(not just what you're saying, but anyone arguing for CJ bailey unless the point is just maybe it helps ONLY us with Jeremiah) & you know better. Does any part of you believe we should've gave CJ bailey 3-400k & the promise that he'll be able to compete as a freshman to start at QB for us? You know ball. You know in recruiting you can't just throw around empty promises you have no intention of following through with. That's costs you long term. We took JoJo with VERY lil nil commitment and the understanding that not only was he offered no promises but we also don't EXPECT him to ever have to play for us.

* thats why i paraphrased it once we got Jo Jo i was more cool about it.

On the bolded is what i meant, that was really our only draw..Cam Ward was no draw to JJ..He knew who that was just as much as he knew who Judd was.

Now paying CJ that price is a no for me dawg. But i highly doubt Nc State paid that price.

Dont want to rehash this unless it becomes a play again in a year or so and were trying to get the band back for one more run in the portal lol
 
If he wants to go there cool.
Mario has to do it the old fashion way if money isn’t working.
Win 11 games and make the playoffs. Whatever the kid decides it’s not changing and we have to go to plan B quick.

Get the dude next year or the portal studs.
Not gonna sway kids that are being courted by teams who are perennial playoff teams because you win 10 games once, especially when they are all negatively recruiting our team.

I’ve never seen in all my years of following Miami a total coordinated attack on the way recruit.

USA Today "way too early" poll from last year.
Top -10:
50% finished in the top-10.

Top-11-25
20% (3 of 15) finished ranked.

The "official" polls in August aren't any better.
