It’s a little different don’t you think? I mean UGA has Kirby and has won multiple SEC Championships and National Championships recently. Not to mention they produce the most, at least top 3, NFL talent in CFB. Tennessee can’t sell any of those things.
 
I feel reporters put out inflated false numbers on Miami targets when their school loses steam on said recruit….. all of a sudden we’re offering 2mil?? Hmm..

Cristobal is supposed to be able to sell his 2 Pac12 championships and OL development. The $8 million dollar question is why that and the big $$$ NIL offer isn’t selling, especially to an offensive lineman.

It’s possible the answer is we aren’t going to get any of these top level recruits as long as we remain in the ACC. If that’s the case, then Rad needs to shoulder most of the blame.

Being in the sec isnt helping Arkansas and Vandy one bit in recruiting.

Most of our recruiting targets couldnt name a big 10 team outside of osu and michigan.

The Acc is down cause we are down...Clemson continues to recruit at a high level...we have to get our sh*t str8 along with fsu.

True on Underwood, that was well publicized. As for your last question, I fully embrace it. As I stated in my next post, it’s just funny that the media is doing this to try to paint a narrative, that’s all.

I'm a Mario guy through and through. But his best attribute is supposed to be recruiting. He's got the money behind him too.

If he can't land a guy he led for less than 2 weeks ago, with the biggest NIL deal on the table, at a position Mario played AND coached, then he's got a problem.

Ehh that may be how we feel but they do it every year with top rated recruits. It gets clicks however true or untrue it may be. And also, On3s big gimmick is NIL and NIL valuation so they have to push that. It’s just the nature of the beast. If you’re going after big fish they come with a big price tag these days.

The narrative will come from rivals and they’ll say we couldn’t land so and so even though we offered this much money but, it happens to everyone. I don’t see their names linked to these price tags though, especially FSU. We’re not the only school after the #1 recruit in the nation but not everyone is going to land him. A couple big name teams will be left on read. It is what it is. But I know I rather have had a chance and battled for him, rather than not. If you ain’t paying, you ain’t playing and UF should be worried bout them teams in the SEC that’s beating us out instead of trying to troll us losing out to them.

That’s why it’s always been an “us against the world “ (extends to us as fans too) since the 80s. It is remarkable that people still have an ax to grind despite irrelevance for some time.

It’s just irritating that a lot of dopes out there believe what they’re being fed.

Regarding Cantwell, we ABSOLUTELY need him. Missing on Pepe already was a big loss. With all the resources we sunk into both Cantwell and Pepe, it would be a massive failure missing on both.

I mean, according to these apologists who can we expect this staff, who has top 7 NIL money, and a staff with more resources than anybody in the ACC and the most ever in program history, to land? We all know the answer. It's only those that actually choose to come to Miami, since we won those battles. But if we lose a battle, the excuses run rampant.

If you look at the final team recruiting rankings for 2025, the only teams in the top 18 that are not members of the SEC or B1G were Notre Dame (12) and UM (13).

Tradition? Their tradition is about 4 years old. Now they’ve been much more relevant lately than we have been. Tradition though. There’s doesn’t compare.
