His brother run track at Miami, so I am thinking the familiarity with the overall quality of the school is a driving force for the Lewis family.

Article on his decommitment from UCLA for family reasons.

Gotta get this kid!!! We are doing a **** of a job in recruiting! Staff is relentless! I really like the way they are going after top guys nationally and still getting the local boys who want to be here. When these sf divas see oos boys down here ballin' they will be beating down Al's door lol
WINNING CURES ALL

I know it's fashionable to complain about Golden recruiting out of state when there is so much talent in his backyard, but anyone unhappy about trying to pluck guys out of the Tidewater haven't really been paying attention lately.

Helluva athlete at that size - would love to see him lining up at weakside end or outside linebacker, but I get why you'd want him at H-back

There's two reasons why the hokie pokies got our number. We always seem to have ball security problems, when we play them(Beamer has said in a past interview that all you gotta do is swipe at the ball a little bit, and those canes will cough it up), and the state of Virginia is loaded with talent.

The state of VA is loaded with talent? I live in the DMV and would say they have outstanding talent in the area this kid is coming from, but that it's hit or miss pretty much everywhere else.

Paranos gonna Paranos...

"Virginia Beach (VA) Ocean Lakes High School athlete Jaason Lewis is a former UCLA commit who says that "Miami's at the top of my list."

Of course, he also says that there are "a few schools at the top of my list right now."

He's not ready to name others in his top group aside from UCLA, which he says he is keeping at No. 1 overall for right now."
