I think he's trying to make a QB change in a tactful way.
I like the sound of that and hope you're right.
It, at least, seems to be trending in that direction.

Go **** yourselfPlease stop making isht up......
I think you're right that the receivers want to make a change. I talked to the father of one of our starting WR's before the game on Sunday, and that was the impression I got. Obviously I'm not going to say who, because that's his business.
True. I'm also at the point where I don't even care if Perry or Weldon are as bad as Rosier. At least there is room for improvement with those two guys. And if they are legitimately worse, then go with the true freshman. Rosier already hit his ceiling. As we know by now as UM fans, coaches are far from infallible in their roster evaluations. This is the same Rick who signed guys like Park and Ramsey and Bauta at QB instead of Deshaun Watson and Cam Newton.
Hey, tell Mr. Richards I said "Hi" next time you see him...I think you're right that the receivers want to make a change. I talked to the father of one of our starting WR's before the game on Sunday, and that was the impression I got. Obviously I'm not going to say who, because that's his business.
I think it is as simple as this. Fans are ****ed, and rightfully so. But as many have said, to flat out bench Rosier (i) shows Richt was wrong to have him as QB1 all along, and (ii) gifts Perry/Weldon/Williams the job, when they haven't done enough to step up and earn it. It sounds like Rosier has been putting in the most work, and Richt respects that (and wants it from the younger guys).I'm not convinced that he's sticking with Rosier. I still think a lot of it has to do with keeping the locker room happy, and that once Perry (and it will probably be Perry) proves himself under the bright lights of a real game, then Richt will have the cover to make a change.
But you don't want to divide the locker room, and I get that. I think he's trying to make a QB change in a tactful way.

Man, I want you to be right in the worst way!!! I so hope that Richt is going to do what you wrote. I just don't think he will. Unfortunately, just like when he had the slowest WR on the team returning kicks in his 1st year, we have to wait for graduation to do what Richt should already be doing.I think it is as simple as this. My guess is that Richt is going to have a come to Jesus talk with Perry and ask/tell him "If I hand over the keys to you, will you take this job seriously?" Rosier got the nod vs LSU for a lot of reasons, but will now be phased out. I guessed the same thing in the prediction thread in August.
can't you play in the first 4 games and still RS ? I thought that rule took place this year.If this is the case then there's no reason why JW ain't on the field at ;least getting game experience for the future.
What hes hoping for is that Malik can use these next "gimmie" games as confidence boosters. Malik runs off confidence. Hes like a streaky shooter. When hes on hes on, when hes off its a **** show. Hes really off right now and might need a confidence boost which I am sure Richt is banking on.
This team won’t be better until Golden’s bargain bin JAGS are all gone. Still. like Swiss cheese. Many, many holes and not very deep. That picture of Malik is the sight of a guy who knows the fat lady is about to sing. His time is done.
Feagles better be getting less reps or w/e the **** punters do in practice.
I'm just glad Richt isn't down playing or defending this guy. He should have actually done a QB competition instead of this Malik hype tour. I'm sick and tired of hearing how improved a unit or player is EVERY off-season then when the season starts it the same **** problem.
Al Golden even after getting canned is still hurting this team with all the crap he left behind on the OL and on defense.
It's sadass Savannah State. They should alternate days of getting reps. Reps isn't going to solve Rosier's issues. I'm not even convinced if we had Mayfield from OU last year that it would've mattered. The problem is deeper than QB talent, it's a problem with Richt and his archaic scheme as well as the playcalling itself. There are other issues, players arent perfect, but I would put more of it on the coaches for sure.

No, the QB and OL coaches are terrible along with Richt's play calling.
Brown and Dugans are top tier position coaches IMO. Good coaches and excellent recruiters.
It Searels and Richt jr. who is stealing money. Not recruiting a QB? You kidding me? and Our center said we weren't prepared for what LSU this game.

I remember Thomas Brown saying that's all He's good at, struggles making the intermediate reads & throws.
My shoe has a higher ceiling than Malik...I have a higher ceiling than Malik.
