Look I think we may get in if we miss the ACCG while winning out IF ND and USF continue to win out but you realize the only reason 2 ACC teams got into the playoffs last year was because one won the conference championship and the other didn’t loss UNTIL said championship game. If Clemson losses that game it’s one ACC team in the playoffs

The perception of the ACC is that it’s garbage. It is all driven by money. Fox and ESPN have their money conferences to worry about. This Louisville team should have been a top 25 team coming in.

We also went from some people on here saying "we're the #1 team in the country" to now saying "the season is over and we'll be lucky to finish 9-3." Wild times.

With the 12 team playoffs, losing a game won’t end your season. With our remaining schedule, it would take an epic collapse to not make the playoffs.

Definitely get your venting on but try not to let it get you to down. The reality, the teams that catches fire at the end matters more than an early October loss.

Who scares me in the SEc or Big? Osu lost to Oregon and Michigan last year and it wasn’t even a consideration that they could be left out of the playoffs. UGA lost to Bama and should have lost to GT at home. Never a thought they get left out. Penn State….well you get the point.

We haven't played a good home game off a bye week in 20 years and 5 head coaches… I don't know if it's big city/south beach distractions, but it's been a problem for ever…I think the rivalry and the fact we had to go on the road made us focus for FSU but home + week off is death combo for Miami Hurricane teams

In general college football fans have been slow to accept that the 12 team playoff makes losses not matter as much.

11-1 Miami is getting into the playoffs.
And the rest of the schedule is fairly easy.

But the team did not look good. That’s the thing to be down on.

Even with 1 loss and no ACCCG appearance we will be left out which will be wild considering we’ll be a top 10 team in the polls.

I could see a path. If Louisville wins out and wins the conference, ND wins out and USF is the G5 representative that’s still a decent resume.

Like on paper, we are a good team. We don’t win 4/5 first games on accident. So a case could be made we got screwed by ACC scheduling from the chance to play Louisville again.

The issue is I’m not confident another clunker or two isn’t in the tailpipe. SMU and Pitt almost immediately become toss ups. Win those and like I said, if Louisville keeps winning, that becomes a “good loss” that was tossed around last season by the committee.

Again, it’s not probable. We just have to keep winning. I just don’t have faith that Mario can steady the ship. Because we will be a linchpin team this week. All the talking heads will be beating us down.
