It sucks but don’t get down over a meaningless early October loss.

This is exactly the scenario we had last year. 9-0 with only GT, WF, and Syracuse to play. Win 2 out of 3 an you're in. We all know what happened next.

I'm hopeful this year is different, but if they play like that again, no way they finish 6-0 down the stretch. Be lucky to finish 4-2.

I agree.
Lville is a Top 25 team in the analytics.
The highest ranking team left on the schedule is Pitt at 39.

No excuse the rest of the way to not run the table.

When we lose to Stanford next week. We won’t have to worry about this 1 loss nonsense.

It’s 2025 and we run an antiquated offense. And it won’t change unless we have a new regime.

The splits, the play calls, the scheming… it’s all trash. It’s too simplistic. Even though we won games against decent team I knew we’d be in trouble. If you ain’t scoring 31/ 35 points every week you likely aren’t very good. With our talent we should be scoring 35 a game.

And we haven’t figured out the crossing route yet.

Yeah. 2 ACC teams got in last year, neither of which was a 1 loss team.
SMU essentially was. If we have 1 loss going into the ACCCG and lose to a one loss GT or whatever we could eek in. But two losses and no ACCCG appearance we aren’t getting in.

We gotta win out. ND cannot lose again. They just can’t. USF has to win the AAC and Napier has to save his job. Those have to happen.

UVA has to lose twice. Louisville once, GT ideally twice. Which is all more probable than what we have to do. Not lose again.
You are correct on UVA....

Ouch....there isn't 2 ACC losses on their sched remaining really...

Miami essentially eliminated

This loss is not the end of the world. All of our goals should still be infront of us. What this loss did was take away our opportunity to mess up later. Can’t lose again and we need to win out but we all know how November goes. What hurts is finally thinking something was different and it’s the same ole thing

With the 12 team playoffs, losing a game won’t end your season. With our remaining schedule, it would take an epic collapse to not make the playoffs.

Definitely get your venting on but try not to let it get you to down. The reality, the teams that catches fire at the end matters more than an early October loss.
We’re in the ACC

2 teams from ACC will not make CFPO...
Only way 2 teams make it is if GT goes undefeated and beats UGA and UVA only has the 1 week 2 loss. They’ll let them both in. Regardless short of us winning the ACC we ain’t getting in. Which will be wild because I expect us to fall to around 10 in the next poll meaning if we win out we’ll be a top 10 team and left out of the playoffs. Truly remarkable how ESPN/Fox control the narrative.

Yeah - can’t wait for that Virginia vs Ga. Tech ACC championship game while we wait it out again to get in.

Not even close to meaningless. Even if we go 11-1 and don’t make the ACC champ which right now looks like a long shot we might be in the Avis Discount Tire Bowl. 3 loss SEC and Big 10 schools would get in over us I promise you that.
Exactly. You apply the ACC tax, our 1 lose looks like 2 to the playoff commitee. At that point, they'll be looking for a reason to squeeze it in another SEC school.

UVA will have to win the ACC.
They don’t have any wins on their schedule to carry them.

I’m not concerned, if there’s one thing Mario has proven to be elite at is making adjustments when other coaches find and exploit out weaknesses…

Even with 1 loss and no ACCCG appearance we will be left out which will be wild considering we’ll be a top 10 team in the polls.

Exacly

But these idiots won't listen.

Brahm is very very good…And Louisville is borderline top 20. We are 5-1 against a very good schedule.

I hear you, still don't think they let UVA in with your scenario above

People like to bury their hand in the sand around here. A well coached high school defense could bottle up this offensive scheme
