It’s kinda funny

Our kids don’t play for UM so we can separate the emotional tug from reality

Whether you have kids on the team or not, I'd wager most of the Keyboard Terminators here would be terrified to look a player in the eye and tell him, "I hope you lose all the rest of the games."

I'd have zero problem telling a player, "I'm rooting for you and your teammates , but I think Diaz needs to go."

If you would rather fall into the camp of people who will say one thing on a message board but wouldn't dare repeat it in front of players, then we'll just have to agree to disagree.

Exactly. And there’s nothing wrong with that. But don’t tell me it’s some powerhouse elite program.
Oregon is a very, VERY, good team. Mario has done things there with both of their lines which need to be done here.

But if he plays Bama or OSU again, he’s going to be exposed.

Oh my god, you are stuck beating this drum.

The outcome of the games, and "rooting for Miami to lose" are two completely different issues. If Blake and Manny were amazing hires and capable of taking Miami to greatness, then we win those games, regardless fo how I root. And if they are not, we lose those games, regardless of how I root.

As for the complaints about Blake, they have absolutely been building up and having impact over the past couple of years. If you HONESTLY believe that Blake was fired solely for the UVa, UNC, and F$U losses, and would have been retained but for those losses, then you are clueless.
This all got started by me saying the “super fans“. I was talking more the ones constantly defending manny no matter what the issues was. He could do bo wrong.

Then if I posted something negative about the staff or issues they’d then mock it and make jokes like it was a conspiracy theory. Thats why I went with the other screen name.

Those people supported the staff more than the actual program.

I was in the camp that I wanted losses and once the game started, I couldn’t help myself and I would always root for the Canes. But apathy started to set in and Manny & the admin was making me indifferent. That’s not my fvking fault. It’s theirs.

I didn’t stop going to games. I wanted them to be competitive although I would’ve taken one blowout vs NC State so that it was over and I could continue to root for wins

Who told you they are "some powerhouse elite program," and did you reply to them too? :)

Also, rank the CFP teams in this current century by "ceiling."

Oregon had their success because it landed a diamond in the rough coach. It was a one in a million chance. The guy who completely changed the game fell in their lap as the HC. The timing was amazing, he was ten years ahead of dc’s . That’s why he was winning at a crazy level with three stars. That doesn’t mean Oregon is some great program lol, Yhey haven’t been close to a natty since that guy left. That’s not a program , that was a coach lifting it to those heights.
A top tier program doesn’t milk uniforms to market themselves.

Look, if a quality HC wanted to be in contention for a natty, there is no better place than Coral Gables.

With Frenk's newfound commitment to the football program, and with the best talent within an easy Escalade drive from campus, and you are talking about competing not just in the ACC, but in a division where the ONLY school that has the potential of becoming elite is the U, then the only conclusion is that this is a top tier job.

If we land any one of those 3 (Lane, Mario, Aranda), this Phoenix will rise gloriously!!
It must have been a fascinating moment when Frenk learned that not only did his educational facility field a football team, but that they had previously won national championships. Upon receipt of this knowledge, he must have been enthused and vowed to pour the necessary funds in to revive it.

Believe me, I completely understand where you are coming from and what you are saying.

Even after I gave Hurracanes some space to come down on a position where alums who root for UM are NOT the clueless bad guys, he doubled down.

He's just wrong. Bad hires will always be exposed and removed. Might take longer if the losses don't pile up, but it happens.

And "rooting for losses" has zero-point-zero impact.

Never said it impacted any outcome of a game but when super fans pound their chest online about how they’ll never cheer against the team and trying to justify their position knowing full well what that outcome means for the program, it’s laughable.

Here is a nugget, I know 2 former players that are happy we lost some games because they knew what an incompetent administration we have. Finally, there are important people who are angry and making serious changes. Some news may be coming tonight, if not, tomorrow. :)

Your posts are so dopey and illogical, and show a surprising lack of understanding about the use of words.

Again, you "know guys". You have "your guy" who knows about adidas. And you have "2 former players" that are "happy we lost some games". Good lord, I could make up a sizable list of former players who have petty grievances against UM. Means nothing.

You are criticizing people for "not rooting against UM". Which, of course, has NOTHING to do with the logical conclusion that many people have about the losses of games (i.e., "here is evidence that supports our complaints and necessitates action").

Your mind is simply too narrow to contemplate that people like me cannot root for UM to lose, but can certainly cite those losses to justify our demands to make changes and improvements to the program.

Stop being a petty person who is whining about "pounding chests" and whatnot. You are entitled to your opinion. You are not entitled to denigrate everyone else who sees things differently from you. Why can't you just act like a man and be confident in your own opinions, without trying to exact some sort of digital vendetta against people who had a somewhat different opinion from you.

Laugh a little. Not everyone sees things the same way. There are plenty of people with far more power than you who are actually doing something to effectuate change at UM, and they are not "rooting for UM to lose".

You are a strange individual. In one breath, you are "rooting for UM to lose". In another breath, you are citing "your guy" for the proposition that adidas is treating UM like kings.

Deeply weird.

All correct Chip was also very ahead on strength and nutrition. With all those advantages You know why they couldn’t get over the hump? PLAYERS !! any time they went up against a physical football team they got destroyed up front. You will not win at Oregon cause there are not enough Big guys on the west coast. Mario knows that. I’m still skeptical that we will be able to give him what he wants in terms of Staff money but I hope I’m wrong.

Let me ask you a question. If your own son was playing high school football on a team with a horrible coach and you felt the team needed a new head coach next season, would you be willing to look your kid and his teammates in the eye and tell them, "I hope you lose all the rest of your games because I want the coach to be replaced"?

Yes I would say you’re going to lose the rest of your games bc your team is fckn trash and you all need a new HC… but it’s ok son he’ll be replaced soon don’t worry. Love ya 🤗

Same as Josh Jobe, what’s the odds?
Underrated post here. I was just thinking of him watching the Bama/Arkansas game. Guy didn’t need a fake ID in HS and is about to be tenured as an Alabama CB and got cooked on that should’ve been touchdown pass by arkansas. Love to see it.

I know for a fact they knew they couldn’t go into another offseason with Manny. The season tickets alone would‘ve been a blood bath. You can’t call and ask for peoples money / donations with this product.
Exactly. The guys rooting for losses are fans too like those of us who didn’t but for me, I don’t treat this hobby that way. I’d rather find another hobby. I said we didn’t need to root against our kids and the rest will take care of itself. Blake’s gone and we’re just waiting for the other shoe to drop now.
