Wants to play WR? That cope? If he doesn’t want to be a TE and commit to putting the real weight on to be one, I’d pass too tbh

Well we're recruiting him as a TE. No reason he can't be a Mallory type, who got better over time at inline stuff but was never a good blocker. I doubt Mario would go for a pure split end unless he were as elite as Greg Olsen.

i dont think they would ask him to block much here if he came. that's WHAT HEZE Kent big ahh IS COMING FOR LOL

Yea i'd take him in the class with hopes of developing him into a Elijah Arroyo type in 2-3 years.
Meaning up to about 6'4 1/2 245 by his jr year. He can play even at 225 here as a younging though out of the slot.

Im hoping its him, Heze Kent, and one out of Zach Turner/Lincoln Watkins.

That would be an incredible haul. This kid might be the most athletic TE I've seen us recruit.

--- The more feedback I get on 4-star TE Israel Briggs, who visited last weekend, leads to me believe he won't end up in this class. He's very light in the pants, looks more like a receiver and wants to play receiver. I don't see all those things lining up with what LSU needs combined with the WR board.

………………..
new Caleb Odom variant?

I am in agreement with LSU. If you want him as a WR, by all means, sign him. He isn't, nor will he be a TE.

@DMoney in the June 13, 2025 Bank

Two names that the staff would love to close on- TE Israel Briggs (Visalia, CA) and Tennessee commit WR Tyran Evans (Charlotte, NC). Briggs just visited LSU but I like Miami's chances to get it done. They believe he is one of the most athletic players in America.

LSU 247 mod

4-star TE Isaiah Briggs visited Miami over the weekend and the 'Canes are feeling better about them being the lead school. In the 190-pound range, Briggs wants to be a WR and LSU has far too many pure targets at that spot to press.

Growing into a tight end in the SEC will be tough with his frame, at least the type LSU likes to use.
