Late 90's was rough as ****. In hindsight we were going to be fine but no way to know that in Syracuse. Still have nightmares about McNabb Konrad and Harrison

The first few months of the Shapiro scandal were pretty brutal. This one is more frustrating than depressing, because the solution is right there.

What do you mean by the "solution is right there?"

Finding someone capable of coaching this talented roster instead of prolonging the inevitable.

In your opinion, do politics play the biggest role why he is staying? In other words, does Shalala leaving buy him more time?

I wish I had better intel on this. Different people say different things. The timing of Shalala leaving is a consistent theme, though.

The situation totally sucks. Thanks for the info. Appreciate you sharing your insights.
That depends on how long the ACC will put up with it. Won't be quick, and basketball and baseball are acceptable to the ACC, but football is where the money is. At some point they will drum us out if there is no improvement.Yes, this is the worst time because it's increasingly clear that the program as we knew it will never return. The administration has done nothing to show they're willing to get on the lead lap with regards to committing financial resources. If they continue with that trend then Miami football is dead.

Its honestly like being a passenger on a bus and everyone is yelling at the driver to slow down around the next curve because everyone on the bus has driven that road twice before, yet the bus driver refuses to listen to any of the passengers.

Best analogy ever. Spot on. Applause.
