Is Keyshawn Smith our best WR

Is it possible that other receivers were outplaying the starters in practice but the coach just totally missed it? I guess so. It’s more feasible than the bull**** seniority conspiracy that people here believe. What’s the MOST likely scenario? The other guys weren’t outplaying the starters in practice. The backup quarterback is always better than the starter until he actually gets in the game. Coaches aren’t always right but they tend to know a **** of a lot more about their players than some fan who only watches games on tv.
It’s on the coaches to play the right guys. They’re not getting paid millions to have the best practices; they’re getting paid to win games, and you do that by playing the best guys and putting them in the best possible system and motivating the fck out of them.

I’m tired of “but yeah Plop was better in practice because that’s what it has to be.” After a million clutch drops and making nothing happen in games, it’s time to adjust no matter what kind of practice hero those guys might be.

Then on top of all this Plop/Wiggins practice hyperbole, didn’t coaches openly dog the vet WRs midseason for not working hard?

The reason why they were going to open things up is because the fans were on their @sses for playing those two bums! Otherwise they would have never done a thing! That’s facts! & Smith was available the game they said they would play best guys and he got like 15 snaps while Pope and them got 60 plus.
I highly doubt that fans were the impetus for any of the decisions.

The young WRs didn't play as much because of COVID. It's not an excuse, it's the truth.

There was a COVID outbreak the same week Likens blew up the depth chart. It was just bad timing.
This is an excuse. COVID did not prevent them from playing more all season long. Bottom line, Likens, Lashlee and Diaz preferred to go with the 3 stooges instead of opening things with the younger kids.

Coaches heard the boos at the stadium from the fans and the big boosters see the same thing as the fans. The reporters even brought the heat for once and asked about lineup changes
Yea, I don’t see how that follows that coaches opened things up because of fans. It’s pretty unlikely that they give a ****.

LOL. So now it's degenerated to the point that a guy who had COVID for a week never practiced all year? You guys are ridiculous.
Exactly. Plus, look at the Bowl game. Plenty of opportunities to give them some burn and....mierda. All those drops in the game wasn’t enough for this staff to make changes.

The guy who picks the rotation at WR has nothing to do with any of the other players you mentioned. He wasn’t even employed by the team when Patchan was here.
Yeah I’m talking about under the head honcho... Manuela. Regardless of the position coach he’s who makes the final decisions. Maybe for WRs u are right and we should be ripping on Likens for putting wigs and Popes back in the bowl game (and not noticing that at least Smith is a better option). For me, blame goes on the guy up top.

I’d like to hear from @CoachMacho to hear what his convos with X have been. Earlier in the year it seemed X was a little frustrated with lack of playing time. He might have heard how playing time is handled prior to game and “in game” rotations to confirm it’s all on Likens

Was X better then Harley..nope.
As for the bolded that’s only partly true..but most HCs not stepping in the PC toes when it comes to that especially if there’s no clear separation happening in practice

lol this dude still claiming conspiracy theories and can’t accept the fact that coaches make personnel mistakes all the fcking time that have nothing to do with them being BFF with anyone.

How about all the nfl teams that draft the wrong guys? Is that a dopey conspiracy too or just human error?

Note to coach worshippers: Coaches aren’t infallible. The key is getting ones who make the least amount of mistakes. Same with any other industry in the world.
lol but bro your using this blanket statement for this situation..makes no sense with NOTHING to back it up to this point..y’all was the same mofos making this argument with LO..every couple years y’all do this..likens has no ties to those guys in question..we all know what went on with this szn, but in order to prompt a narrative y’all dismiss what part that would play in a guy not getting 30-50 snaps. You don’t want to account for the tempo and how Lashlee hardly ever used different P groups from snap to snap especially if u get a chunk or a 1st down.

now we got this built in narrative that will go on all 21 if 5 not getting the reps y’all think he deserves..it will be “oh manny and Co are playing favorites because these are cooneys guys”

Yeah I wasn’t saying X was better than anyone. Just was calling out Macho to see if he had some info due to his frustration at getting ZERO burn.

But are u saying that the HC doesn’t have the final decision on personnel? if he doesn’t have the final decision on almost everything... then he’s not a head coach and just a figurehead

Is not about being a coach worshiper, is about facts. Wiggins and Pope were bad and had too many drops. But to claim that a player with two total career catches is our best anything is just stupid.
Wait until Smith has a bad game or a couple of drops.
Same posters clamoring for him will turn on him.

There's actually plenty of information if you're paying attention. When you know football, you see one WR constantly getting open in his very limited reps and making great plays on the ball and jumping off the screen, and you see the same two guys getting abused by freshman CBs and dropping passes at record numbers.

The catch that wasn’t a catch in the bowl...the 3 PiS he drew..jumped off the screen..man like I said we’ll see what happens in his spring at WR. Idc who steps up at the X or Y..but I’m **** sure ready for the favoritism debate if it doesn’t end being who y’all think it should be

I’m shocked people think it’s crazy to think coaches actually show favoritism to upperclassman. I mean have you been around football or played ? It 100 % goes on and most definitely under this staff. Boards isn’t the only place its discussed. I’ll just leave it at that.
