Is Indiana's Front 7 Really That Good On Defense?? FILM STUDY!!!

imagine if Mario said “f#ck it- we are going heavy set personnel and running it down their throats every play.” 7 linemen. Indiana would HAVE to bring its safeties into the box, giving massive downfield opportunities to Toney and Marion (Daniels is more for possession than YAC). Would be funny to see all 7 OL out weighing their DL by 50 lbs each, and Indiana fans throwing their hands in the air and saying it’s cheating.
I think you may be onto something there. I would love to see that. 7OL 10 personnel 2 WR. We could run variants of this the whole game like 6OL 20 personnel 2 WR, 6 OL 12 personnel 1 WR, 6 OL 21 personnel 1 WR and 6 OL or 6 OL 22 personnel Malicat. There are so many things we could do offensively to best leverage our talent and depth upfront.

We can have our line lock arms in 2 inch splits and form a wall and push the pile for 7 yards a pop and nullify their bull**** blindside pick stunt plays! Way old school scrum football their asses! They are light in the ***! pause
Pringle would be great running the ball VS this team as a change of pace actually. He can hide behind our line 😂

its zone blitz. nothing new or complicated. Ran this when I was in college. We used to watch a lot of film on **** Lebeau and Bud Foster from VATech.

**** Lebeau and the Steelers brought it mainstream, and then it evolved into the amoeba 🦠 defense
Where did you play ball? What position? I'm genuinely curious.

Saw this thread and was going to refer to this video till I read the post and saw it was Landon T himself. Thanks for this pro level analysis! I'm really learning the game at a deeper level this season thanks to breakdowns like this. Makes watching the games even more enjoyable. I have faith that the O line and RB's (heavy dose of Fletcher) will pass blocks off efficiently and wear down this IU front 7 to set up that late minutes of the game.

Love your content Landon, thank you for sharing it with us. Really pumped about this matchup

Haha thank you bro! If there’s an OL and RB that can pickup these blitzes and stunts, it’s this group!

Who else have we played who runs this same NUT TUN style of stunts, also with lighter and quick DL? Ole Miss does it but they are bigger in the middle. TAMU?

Not at all worried about #61, Cause he's the best player on the field. Brock #52 should be fine, this is exactly what he excels at. LG Pancake and McCoy should be fine, they are basically more athletic tackles playing guard out there. I'm worried Bell and Anez can deal with the quickness. Anez got beat a lot last week. When he gets his hands on em it's over tho.
