Then why doesn't Nick Saban go after him genius
Clearly Bama is not in the need for an OC. Last I checked they were doing just fine with Kiffins replacement.

Last I checked, that guy is the HC of Maryland
Not wanting a guy because he’ll be SO GOOD that he gets opportunities to move on seems odd. If he coaches at a level high enough to get chances to leave, it means he killed it here and we had success. That’s what we should all want.
The issue is that every time a decent head coaching job comes up the media will float Larry Fedora's name. Hiring a guy like that means you only keep him for two years. If we land Fedora and he stays for 3 years then I think that would be a major win for us.

Which is not a real issue at all.
Next year Bama will have their 3rd OC in three years.
And Saban doesn’t care.
That was my point. The foundation has been laid. Now he just fills the position with the latest and greatest.
Those are good problems to have .The issue is that every time a decent head coaching job comes up the media will float Larry Fedora's name. Hiring a guy like that means you only keep him for two years. If we land Fedora and he stays for 3 years then I think that would be a major win for us.

And almost forces you to succeed cause everyone before you did.Yes.
Assistants leaving for a promotional move is always a sign of a strong organization. It makes the job title title more valuable.
King, you SLAYING EM! Get it?Last I checked, that guy is the HC of Maryland
It’s always been that way at Miami. What hasn’t happened lately is landing a guy like Fedora. It’d be a major win for Diaz. The issue is that every time a decent head coaching job comes up the media will float Larry Fedora's name. Hiring a guy like that means you only keep him for two years.
