I feel really good there. We have legit dudes in the secondary now who run and hit. They’re physical. ND has some really good players on the outside with size, and we ate em up in the quick game.

As everyone has astutely said, QB run has my attention. Both designed and sandlot. It’s the easiest way to make the numbers even. Carr was very successful with QB draws. I’m hoping it’s because Heatherman didn’t expect it. He certainly will be tomorrow. But the midget went 16 runs for 78 against Bama, and took no sacks. 14 for 78 against UVA, and that includes 2 sacks. We can’t let him run for 75 yards tomorrow.

Defensively, this is basically entirely about:
1) Not getting fooled by Misdirection

.... Major Gap

2) Gap integrity and Tackling well
3) Covering Duce
4) Pursuit to the sidelines to tackle wr screens/reverses

I got this one wrong. They were smoke and mirrors to start but folded once teams took away their key plays.

They aren't good and I overrated them.
