With the natty win for sure, with the natty loss but no game-ending pick then probably, with the natty loss plus the game-ending pick hmmmm tough call. I’d still say yes.
He’s a notch above Berlin, in my opinion. Not a legend but he's somewhere in the very highly respected & appreciated realm like Brock Berlin. It sucks he threw a bad ball at the end of the Natty, but we're not there if he doesn't deliver in the clutch bs Ole Miss.
We dont get Beck without Ward.. All those cool memories..To an entire generation of UM fans — anyone under the age of 30 — he’s the 2nd best quarterback to suit up for the Canes.
And while he’s NOT more talented than Ward, he accomplished way more than him at Miami. That’s not Ward’s fault, but it is the reality.
Ward will be remembered for silencing the Swamp and that comeback win against Cal. Cool memories? Sure. But nothing monumental.
Beck will be remembered for guiding us through a grueling playoff run, with awesome performances in the Ohio State and Ole Miss games.
He’s a true Cane and deserves more respect than some in this fan base give him.
It sucks the national championship ended the way that it did, because unfortunately, some of our fans will never get over that interception. What will get lost in the shuffle is that one could argue he outplayed Mendoza until that final throw.
Thank you for everything, Carson. The memory of you running it in against Ole Miss will forever be ingrained in my brain.
Fair point. We dont get Beck without Ward.. All those cool memories..
