Is Carson Beck officially a Canes legend?

I will always have a soft spot for Beck. That guy came in with so much hate and he delivered whenever everyone else had stopped believing. He helped keep this program moving in the right direction and left it better than he found it. Won't catch me saying a bad thing about him.

Probably not a legend here. Either needed the natty or more longevity (like Bain). After watching the breakdown replay of that final interception, in the end he had Marion open, just didn't have the arm to get it there. If he had made that throw to win the natty, he absolutely would have been a legend, especially after the Ole Miss game the week prior.

If he was a real legend he would breed with the Cavinder girl and create some athletic specimen, name it We (We Beck - a little play on from We Back), train him to play QB and commit to Miami as his first words, and he would win 3 titles in a row before going to the NFL.

No... Beck is not a Canes legend. He threw 3 interceptions... each on the final offensive play in all 3 of our losses. He is a guy that QB'd the team to the national title game and gets credit for winning the Ole Miss game. That was his legacy game and his legacy ends there.

To an entire generation of UM fans — anyone under the age of 30 — he’s the 2nd best quarterback to suit up for the Canes.

And while he’s NOT more talented than Ward, he accomplished way more than him at Miami. That’s not Ward’s fault, but it is the reality.

Ward will be remembered for silencing the Swamp and that comeback win against Cal. Cool memories? Sure. But nothing monumental.

Beck will be remembered for guiding us through a grueling playoff run, with awesome performances in the Ohio State and Ole Miss games.

He’s a true Cane and deserves more respect than some in this fan base give him.

It sucks the national championship ended the way that it did, because unfortunately, some of our fans will never get over that interception. What will get lost in the shuffle is that one could argue he outplayed Mendoza until that final throw.

Thank you for everything, Carson. The memory of you running it in against Ole Miss will forever be ingrained in my brain.

Not a legend but he's somewhere in the very highly respected & appreciated realm like Brock Berlin. It sucks he threw a bad ball at the end of the Natty, but we're not there if he doesn't deliver in the clutch bs Ole Miss.
He’s a notch above Berlin, in my opinion.

Since 2000, it goes…

Dorsey

**gap**

Ward / Beck

**gap**

Berlin

**gap**

Morris, Kaaya, Rosier, Harris

We dont get Beck without Ward.. All those cool memories..

not a legend but a great cane

idc if he threw that pick he still beat ND, UF, FSU, VT, Ohio State, 3 SEC teams, and Fran Brown's punk ***

took us to the playoffs, went 4-1 against top 10 teams, and 7-1 against ranked teams

brought us to a natty, and would have won if Alex bauman tried even a little
