Let’s be real here too, last year we struggled A LOT with a veteran group committing ridiculous penalties and missing assignments especially early in the season

Cooper I think had 5-6 false starts in his career and they were all last year. Mauigoa had a critical penalty against Louisville

We were a head scratching team to watch for a while
 
Can you imagine someone complaining about a group who was arguably the best unit in the nation last year on a team that was 30 yards away from a national championship? That guy or gal is a dippy
 
McCoy, Samson and RR are starters. No doubt in my mind. When the dust settles, we will likely see Max and Cantwell join those 3. Not sure about the exact spots, however. Congdon might be next man up but I would not rule out SJ.

What is more surprising to me is that Congdon "might" be ahead of Merriweather.

*btw, I haven’t “complained”, but it’s completely fair to have some ?’s, no? Maybe I’m tripping, considering this is a completely different group than last years OL? 🤷🏾‍♂️

That’s how I read it as well. Interesting indeed.

I haven’t seen Congdon take one single snap. When he committed, my initial thought was “decent project prospect.” He was much lighter and from small town Ohio. Literally from that moment til today, every single time I hear his name mentioned, it’s about his weight gain, his work ethic, his bend, and so on. If 60% of it is true, we have a monster on our hands. I can’t wait to actually see him taking snaps.

Typically who would you trust for OL prospect production: Ohio or Missouri?

They’re both massive dudes. If they rotate with each other at left guard between Okunlola and Rodriguez that’s not a bad option to get them starter-ready.

McCoy at RT w/ someone else at RG.

No matter what is said on these boards or through the media, I 100% expect struggles from this OL. Do not be surprised if Stanford confuses and has success against this unit. QB, RB, and WR play will have to make up for this throughout the year.

1000 thousand percent. Reps and experience cannot be replaced by talent alone. We’re going to have our fair share of lumps, especially early in the season.
