Per the Herald, yesterday’s rushing total (337) was the second-highest total since 2004.

In that span, we’ve had ten NFL backs. Last year, with one of those backs, we finished 112th in yards and 117th in attempts.

Excited to see what this running game does over the course of the year. It should remain explosive if uneven. I expect some stuffs and a lot of huge plays.

But what about the passing bro.

We’ll get more balance. I’d rather see this imbalance rather than the other way around this early. This is a whole new system with new QB, new coaches and we didn’t have the advantage of spring practice. A lot for players to learn with just fall practice.

Patience. We won, didn’t we?

I doubt ACC teams will allow us to just run into teeth of defense if we dont develop passing game. This style actually Got even Malzahn on the hot seat..

Those numbers come down to earth, I hope the passing develops.. Our Oline didnt look like they can carry us for season

I get that the line was inconsistent and believe me, I was frustrated by the lack of variety in play calls but let's look at it objectively. Miami ran for over 330 yards against a defense that is better than LTU, Duke, FIU and Central Michigan's. I understand that the bar here is pretty low but I think a lot of people forgot just how horrible the offense was last year. They had one game of over 200 yards rushing last year and it was Bethune Cookman. They were held under 100 rushing yards 8 TIMES last year. For this team to rush for 300 yards against anybody with a pulse is a miracle.
