Interesting Manny quote on the Joe Rose show

When discussing the class, he said "We don’t have to be in a situation that we just grab whatever is left on the shelf. The transfer game is going to be a bigger and bigger thing as time goes on.”

This is a key quote. Miami needs to focus on the transfer market the same way Coach L does for hoops. It can become a major competitive advantage.

We are an attractive transfer destination. Kids want to play in the sunshine. Look at our recent track record with grad transfers-- Adrian Colbert, Marquez Williams, Dee Delaney. Those guys all made the NFL. Tito Odenibgo could be headed there, as well.

Transfers are more physically developed and often come in with something to prove. If the character checks out and the talent is there, bring them in.
tito looked pretty **** good in the bowl game

I'm a big fan of being more aggressive in the transfer market.

But it's more for finding good role players, and adding depth. Transfers that have a major impact are rare.

he also said he hasnt spoken to richt and he will take his time to find the right oc that will match how they play defense.

“It is important that the hire is the best hire and not just the quickest—in terms of establishing an identity on offense and what that vision should be.” Which is ironic considering the circumstances under which he was hired.

However, I’m hopeful that he thinks we have been a terribly run program with a crappy administration and sets out to do everything differently than how it’s been done before.

I don't think he's saying we should depend on the transfer market.

He's saying that transfers are going to be a bigger part of the game moving forward, and we should be the best at getting the good ones.

he kind of took a shot at how many points bama gave up

Its one thing for bama to give up points to the top offense in the last freaking 15 years, did he comment on how he got lit up against a freaking terrible wisky team and their backup qb? RB had over 200 yrds! LMAOOO

Why the **** you take a shot at team that won 5 championships in like 10 years, and you never led a team as HC. WTF

If we have any reporters left in Miami, I'd like to know the roll of DiMare, Diaz Sr. and what any cronyism had to do with this horrible business decision.

So he knows he can’t recruit worth a crap. That could be a good sign— not blind to his own glaring deficiencies.

Exactly. Diaz has no business critiquing a Bama team after getting his train run on him IN THE FIRST QUARTER by a 7-6 Wisky club that got bi*ch slapped by mediocre. B1G Clubs.

No question this will be part of the changing landscape.
I think it will be similar to when college baseball players were jumping around until the rules were changed a few years ago.
We need to be ahead of this curve and also continue to track some of our local kids who went elsewhere, who may want to return to soFla....I would, dare I say, tamper with some of the kids on the Alabama and UGA rosters.
