Jackie was amazing, and he played with the most obstacles and pressure of anyone ever in baseball. But the Babes numbers are crazy as ****... did pitchers suck that bad back in the 20’s?

I think that might be the biggest improvement in the modern day game. I know there are some big time baseball guys in here that could answer that question.

Dan Marino was the best QB in the history of the game. Too much stock is put on rings when is a team sport. He hardly ever had a running game or a defense.
With all the rule changes if Marino played in this era he'd throw for 500 yards every game.
Plus QBs can play a lot longer today cause they are the only ones basically playing two hand touch football.

Brady hasn’t won a super bowl where he hasnt had a good/great defense, a good running game and a great kicker. Football is a team sport.

A great QB makes a **** of as lot of difference.
