Coaching Interesting article regarding Mississippi HS coaches perception of Kiffin

You literally make no sense.

Put down your first beer and stop using your parents wifi.

Have a great day
You said he was apart the success..he was a **** coordinator. Bama was recruiting elite classes before and after. He had no significant role in Bamas recruiting..the man was fired weeks before a NC game by Saban. The most detailed oriented coach would rather take his Chance in a NC with a Drunk OC than lane..tells you how valued he was at Bama

Ppl will say he recruited well at usc..USC recruited well for usc..ppl will say what about that Tennessee class..again Tennessee recruited well for Tennessee. They still pull kids in Oxford..ppl will say he won 10 games at Ole miss..Dan Mullen once had Miss State ranked #2..now if a HS coach had something like this to say (in fairness anonymously) about a HC, practically calling him a fake, CIS would kill him..Lane is who he is. Don’t ignore the resume based on a **** name. He’s 77-41. That’s 63% winning percentage. He’s never won a conference title. He’s NOT a recruiter. He’s done a fine job at Ole miss tho..he’s a watered down Mike gundy. A lightskin James Franklin with less wins and conference titles..And y’all think he’s the savior..it’s something about the name Kiffin man😭
Wrong about UT. UT has five top 10 classes in the last 13 years. Lane in his 13 months at UT brought in 2 of those classes. So in the 11 years since Lane left UT has only had 3 top 10 classes.

So they’ve played coaching musical chairs..and still manage to bring in 3 top 10 classes whilst winning absolutely nothing ..that says something

This is not something to just be blown off. South Florida coaches can be hard to deal with, and will hold a grudge forever.

He better fūcking take this into consideration if he’s going to be successful recruiting South Florida.

Let’s hope if he’s hired here he’s going to take seriously the “building relationships“ part.
I keep telling people. These dudes on this site haven’t learned a **** thing and they’re willing to risk Stoops going elsewhere for a coach who loses to teams he shouldn’t and an egomaniac who flames out at the job closest to this job.

If we retain some staff like Cooney, DVD, and TRob, they can help with the transition and give him the blueprint to build those relationships.

Before and after and during his tenure

You are basically saying Saban does all the recruiting. Lane, and other coaches, are a part of the success. If you can't comprehend that, I don't know what else to say to you.

Avg rank of UT classes with Kiffin 7.5. Avg rank without Kiffin 15. He cut it in half. His first class he only had two months to recruit.

No. I’m saying Bama is a football factory right now with a recruiting infrastructure that predates lanes tenure ther. Like 2 years I believe. So if you think lane had anything significant to do with that recruiting, then surely when he was handed the pink slip by Saban days before a NC game, all those recruits Lane had in the boat would’ve been hesitant to still go play there..right?

So, off a szn at Tenn..lane is great recruiter? Y’all talking yourselves into believing something NOBODY else in the CFB world believes

He did have a significant part when he was there....just like some other coaches did. Go look at how Tua got to Alabama.

Quit derailing and talking about when he got hired/fired...that was never part of the original debate.

Have a great day

USC coming off Pete Carroll’s years **** sure recruited itself. Tennessee has had top 10 class through different coaches even if that program has fallen off. In 2008/09 that program was considered a top tier sec program.
Lol what are you talking about. 2 out of the 5 years before Lane got to UT it had losing records and didn't even make a bowl. Lol @ top tier.

No not off a season. His first recruiting class he had two months to recruit. UT had finished 5-7 (firing Fulmer) and he still was able to pull the #8 recruiting class in two months after taking the job. His next recruiting class was #7. He was also recruiter of the year at USC.

Lane Kiffins recruiting classes at USC
2010: 3rd
2011: 3rd
2012: 8th

2 out of the 3 years he was at FAU he had C-USA's top recruiting class.

no one is saying Kiffin is the elite recruiter Mario is. there aren't 5 HC in the nation who recruit like Mario. but people are to trying to create this narrative that Lane can't recruit and have zero evidence to back that up. there is, however, evidence that he can recruit.

TLDR: Kiffin is an egomaniac charlatan with Twitter fingers according to a group of anonymous Mississippi high school football coaches

I’m neither pro or anti lane, just found this an interesting read given our HC circumstance

This is why you get an AD involved who is dialed in to the coaching circuit, and/or engage a search org to do some due diligence. Miami needs a head coach that can crush the entire Venn diagram of coaching responsibilities. Not a specialist. He also has to be a bit of a politician to work this town, and I am very worried about Lane's ego and arrogance and how it will play here.

I've been sounding this alarm here since his name came up. Ole Miss is currently 13th out of 14th in the SEC in recruiting rankings for this cycle, only ahead of Vandy, which means he's effectively last in the SEC. I guess they could close well, though I don't see them involved with enough top kids to do so. They are already about 99% Lilly to lose the state to MISS ST this cycle. And it's not close. I think they have like 3 of the top 20 kids in MS committed and they are only leading with one of the four that are left uncommitted.

We have fans here who would be complaining if the UM coach was 13th in the COUNTRY in recruiting.

I'm not anti-Lane either, but the idea is certainly not as compelling to me as it was before we started to dig it. That was a f'ing hit piece. Which may not be entirely fair, but why are you a guy who people in your own state want to write hit pieces about?

Just recruit recruit recruit recruit and build a monster that can stack up with the teams that have elite talent. You can always hire a fire OC if you're actually serious about the new money going towards the football program. Go get mario.
