Insight on App State?

They run a lot of that hocus pocus misdirection **** and fly sweeps. They might trick us a few times because we are so hyper aggressive.

You beat these teams by dominating them at the line of scrimmage. If we come out trying a bunch of throws like we did against FAU we will have problems. Our OL is massive. We need to line up and go forward. I think we'll be fine harassing their QB

While size is helpful, it isn't everything. You should be able to find some defensive highlights from the UTk game. DE splits a double team, sheds Hurd and sacks Dobbs on the run. He was under fire almost every time he dropped back to pass which is what led to his poor numbers. I'm sure Richt will be a little smarter about this game than the fans. Get into a running match and you lose the one true advantage you have and that is skill players on the outside.

Dobbs is a horrible passer, and UT is a horrible passing offense. That's what led to Dobbs' poor numbers.

Lulz at this c0cky jagoff yapping about our outside skill players being our one advantage over App Store. Come on, man. Beating up on the Sun Belt and getting that *** whooped by Ark State has emboldened you. You don't have a player we even recruited, so we have plenty of advantages.

Their D Line is gonna kick UM's O Line around. They may be smaller but they will be all over Kayaa and co. You guys love to gloss over how bad the O Line is. And their O Line will be one of the better ones UM faces this year. Luckily their skill guys are very pedestrian. Miami better not come out flat or it will be a down to the wire outcome.

You are assuming Miami comes out ready to roll from the first snap. If they aren't then this game will turn your stomach. App St is good at the LOS. Miami has advantages on paper. Now let's see if these kids actually carry that to the field.

What's their record against the SEC?

I just don't get the mass hysteria around app state. They were solid last year in the sun belt but haven't beaten a team with a pulse in 9 years and that Michigan team ended up being awful by the way

It was opening weekend and much as I hate to say it, Tennessee was just not focused. They play again and Tennessee rolls. The fact that we are only three point favorites is a slap in the face.

We're gonna dominate in every aspect of this game

I think you just made the perma-neg list

Tennessee's o-line is really suspect especially their run blocking. Thats what kept app state in the game. Even in the Vtech game they we're having trouble but when you give the ball away 5 times its hard to get in a groove so it never hurt Tennessee.

I'm not sure our o-line is much better at pass pro but I know for a fact we're much better at run blocking.

Just like Tennessee did against the team with players that they never recruited. Secondly, please look into your parallel universe and tell me how many times App beats Miami out of 10? Since you know for a fact that UTk would roll in a second game. The beauty of this situation is, if you do lose at least you get a shot for redemption in a couple of years. Tennessee needed a missed FG, extra point, 3 missed opportunities to recover fumbles and once in overtime to win. We're out rushed, had less time of possession, more turnovers, and were thoroughly outplayed at the LOS on both sides.

Skill players....true freshman DB wasn't able to track a deep ball properly in his first game to a guy he was giving up 6 inches in height to. If not for that play it's unlikely UT has a TD at all.

But don't take it from me. Take off the P5 rose colored glasses and watch the game objectively, focus on the front seven not only as individuals but scheme and you'll notice why there is bravado. The beautiful thing about football is that individuals can have all the talent in the world but if they can't play together, it's all for naught.

In his defense, he is the only person discussing this game objectively. Your name, came dynasty, suggests there is currently a cane dynasty. Sadly, there hasn't been for 15 years. CFB is better when Miami, Va Tech and FSU are in the Top 10 but it's been a while since that perfect storm has been around. The guy you are neg repping gets it and won't be here wanting to fire Richt when there is a close game.

Hmm... Sounds like a team who had all that going for them and still found a way to lose must not be that great of a team

Why dude keeps bringing up ten like we care..we're better than tenn. That was your super bowl..it's over now prepare for the thrashing. Dobbs sucks as a qb, kayak as bad as he plated last saturday..that's par the course for Dobbs. This game might be competitive a quarter or so.

Tennessee had all of that going for them. They didn't miss the FG or extra point. App did. App plays on turf and Stringer dove over two fumbles, I assume because he expected the ball to have more bounce but on grass it died. Regardless, the game is over, however ridiculous an ending it may have been.

My only issue here is seeing FAU and FAMI compared to App. FAU has been successful intermittently and FAMU is FCS. App became the first team in FBS history to win 11 games in their first full season and shared the title of winning a bowl game in their first eligible season with Georgia Southern, who took. Mark Richt coached Georgia team to OT last year. That same Georgia Southern team App beat 33-13, though it was 33-7 till there was one minute left. The game between Georgia Southern and Georgia was in November, so there is no Week 1 excuse there.

The Vegas line is probably more indicative of how close this game is gonna be, whether you all like it or not. I like Miami football and generally, due to the fact of where I live in NC, love to see UNC, Duke and State lose by any means necessary (which is why being an East Carolina student was so much fun; I grew up in the mountains hence the App fandom). Generally I like to see Miami, Tech, FSU and Clemson do well because those programs ceilings are higher than anyone else in the conference and brings every more attention to the ACC over the SEC.

The Vegas Line is -4.5 Miami. Basically giving you a TD. That wouldn't happen if Miami was that much better. I suppose I wouldn't get any where with you since I doubt you've seen an App game against anyone other than Tennessee.

Maybe it's just me but....why does it always look like Butch Jones is getting a corn-cob shoved up his ***?

The lines for Miami have been low in the first two games because of the Golden affect. Plain and simple.

I went to App State. I can tell you that the fans, from my facebook and friends messages, are going to be super pumped. If Kaaya can compete a pass over 15 yards we win. If not, close game and I hope we hand the ball off a lot. Just pound the running game IMO and shut down their NFL bound back and we win.

Richt is going to use the 7 yard cushions they give us early to run swings and bubbles to get Kaaya's confidence up. Then when they come up and put their safeties a few steps deeper Walton and Yearby will take over. Kaaya might just abuse them all night with RPO's.
