Nah, I don't think IU is cheating. If they are, it's no more than any other team. This is a weak look from Miami fans that support this claim. I know it was created by the SEC conspiracy theorists to disrespect IU.
IU is good and well coached, but they aren't invincible. They have played some close games this year and almost lost a couple. They had an easy path via the playoffs. Bama had already got blown out twice before that game. IU beating the brakes off them was not a surprise to me. Bama was a joke. Now Oregon, I think they are a pretty good team. Not better than IU, Miami, Ole Miss, UGA, but they are much better than Bama. Oregon basically gave IU 28 free points. I know a couple of those turnovers were good plays by IU, but two of those were self-inflicted and the bounces could not have gone better for IU.
I still think our advantages in the trenches will determine this game. Both our o-line and d-line had subpar games against Ole Miss. I think our D-line can give Mendoza fits like we did with Sayin. It's time to give Mendoza some credit, he's good, but he's not as good as Chambliss. I think our o-line regroups and will punish IU's d-line all night. Not saying we win every battle, but we are going to win more than their d-line does.
