Indiana -7.5

Indiana beat OSU by 3, scoring 1 TD
They were tied with Iowa with 1:26 left, They scored a 49 yard TD on 3rd and 10
They beat PSU by 3, needing a game winning drive

TrumpyCane has no idea why people think Indiana is going to just murder us, we have what those teams above us have, a strong line/defense

also to add to this, we havent lost a game by more than a score since NC State in 2023

It could be that sportsbooks were taking significant futures bets on Indiana and wanted to stem the tide. Those may not have limits while the IU/OR game was going on, I don’t know.

We closed +7.5 against Ohio State and know how that turned out. If our line closes better than the current +7.5 I’ll be ecstatic. And I think it will, this inflation in the line is due to recency bias.

The BP is going to be overwhelmingly on Indiana.

If the number remains relatively static for the next week through Sunday, it’s a good sign.

Will have a close eye on it on gameday.

It won’t surprise me at all if the line goes to Indiana -8 before ultimately closing -6.5 or -7. Our line vs Ohio State initially climbed before precipitously dropping. The guys who move lines are well aware they can push a game to a better number before hammering the game on the opposite side. Why bet Miami +7.5 if you can get +8?

As annoying as it is, I’m all for the media to keep hyping them up. They’re obviously good, but would be hilarious to beat the team all these people keep referring to as 2019 LSU, because then what would that make us?

You know way more about this than I do but I’m looking at it closing even lower than -6.5

Wouldn’t shock me to see -5.5 but maybe I’m retarded

In this instance, If it just closes under 7 it’s a big deal.
I agree. I think people that pass along what sharps do as analysis are pretty *** so I won’t keep going with it

I think this all sets up well for us is all I’ll say

Hope you’re right. I’ll go on record and predict it first climbs to -8 but drops to a consensus close of -6.5 -115.

And if I’m way off and it closes -8.5, I’ll try not to panic and remember the fact the line move was linear but way off on Oregon/Indiana.

I didn’t make any money off of predicting Marion’s TD or Keionte Scott’s so don’t listen to me

But I feel stuff in my plums (no pause) given the vibes and do know some people much smarter than myself

1. Absolutely must play a clean game with no dumb mistakes
2. Bro ball - lean on the offensive line. If we're getting 4-5 yards almost every carry, do not under any circumstance stop running the ball
3. I don't make the rules, but Abella Danger is our good luck charm, so.....she'd better be in attendance

This is the thing I can't get my head around.

The Indiana story (from literal worst to first - although I do think they're cheating) has taken all of the limelight.

Nobody seems to be giving us much credit for beating ND, FSU, Florida and then running through an absolute gauntlet of Playoff teams (the Indiana side of the bracket was charmin' soft) on the road.

I'm not saying we'll win, but the disrespect is real.
lol they’re not cheating catching the ball not fumbling not being offsides

The world's understanding of football is superficial, at best.

Watch that line crash heading into kickoff.

Line now -8.5 at Pinnacle. It will follow at other sites soon. I expected it to to rise, and I’d be surprised if we ever see -9. The line will come back down, likely the day of the game is when we see it at its lowest point IMO.

Its effectively just another branch of finance now.
Incredible math and analysis talent applied to that much money.

Here’s the thing I don’t get about a line moving 2 points, through a key number, before halftime:

The limits are like $500

They don’t take real money on lookahead lines. But they usually don’t move off the type of square action that was putting those plays in.

Maybe they have a few accounts identified as sharp that were hitting it so they moved it, but 2 points through the 7?!

This won’t be 7.5 at kickoff. 7 max. My best guess is 6.5.
Just moved a full point towards Miami

Down to -7.5
