This is the most poorly ran conference in all of college sports. The refs, the leadership, everything. I see every other conference look out for their top teams. We get the opposite treatment. Like the conferences wants to fail.Watching the highlights again from VT and being an “over-thinker”… with the inadvertent whistle call, why do they need to go to replay to prove or disapprove it?
Can the zebras not just get together and talk about it and one of them be like, “yeah my bad, it was me.”
I mean talk about no integrity. Relying on technology instead of just being human and admit you made a mistake (which refs never have to do anyway).
Thoughts?
What a **** show ref'ing has been this season.
No because Miami’s DB could say, “I stopped paying when I heard the whistle” and use that as the excuse why the WR was open. You replay the down because players are trained to stop playing at the sound of a whistle ( see Lightfoot vs SMU).Watching the highlights again from VT and being an “over-thinker”… with the inadvertent whistle call, why do they need to go to replay to prove or disapprove it?

Having to stop VT 3 times on 4th and 1 was insane. I have NEVER seen officials stop play for a review and then let another play be ran and then go back to review the same play. The cherry on top is that they still completely blew the call of it being a catch that set up that 4th and 1. This conference can't die soon enough.Yesterday may have been the worst officiating I've ever seen when you take into account the bad call, the no calls, and then the lack of transparency of some of the stoppages. It felt very "dirty" for a lack of a better word. It was uncomfortable as a fan to watch.
And Louis Riddick lost his ******* mind over it. He went on a 15 minute tirade about how bad of a call it was and how badly VT got screwed by it.Agreed if that was the case. But who knows if that’s what they were looking at. Could be been the clock, or if Drones’ was down pre-whistle.
That was the first officiating break we’ve got all season. Everything else has went the other way. Including inadvertent whistles.
This! The kid caught the ball and all three Miami defenders stopped. He might of gained three yards after the catch if the play was liveThe upheaval was ridiculous
Miami fans saying we got lucky were full of ****
Riddick and co being up in arms about VT getting screwed were full of ****
The VT coaches losing their minds were full of ****
You want a team that ACTUALLY got screwed by an inadvertent whistle that would be us earlier in the season
If there’s no whistle we get the stop and get the ball
If anything it was a break for VT because they got another shot at getting the first down
Would be difficult to coach defense these daysThis! The kid caught the ball and all three Miami defenders stopped. He might of gained three yards after the catch if the play was live

Bad calls, taking way too much time to make decision, the inadvertent whistle, missed calls. That crew needs to be reviewed.Yesterday may have been the worst officiating I've ever seen when you take into account the bad call, the no calls, and then the lack of transparency of some of the stoppages. This. Watching in person was even worse. No context and VT’s scoreboard didn’t show anything that would hurt them. I’m rewatching the broadcast now, and from jump street, these refs were really **** bad.Yesterday may have been the worst officiating I've ever seen when you take into account the bad call, the no calls, and then the lack of transparency of some of the stoppages.
