In this thread we fondly remember the talents of Jeff Thomas. (please no *****ing in this one, yeah I know coming from me)

Kid got fed way more than any other receiver on the team and still quit on his teammates. He has a special talent but the selfishness will hurt him in the future. If he's not careful he'll end up like TO, perfectly able to play and excel but nobody will want him in their locker room. Dude quits on Miami and gets an appreciation thread... smh.

I appreciate JT committing to the U and putting on that #4 jersey and showing shades of Hester. Thanks for what you did with that U on your head.
But as of today, fvck him. Quit on the U, quit on his team mates, quit on the university. Y'all want to talk about greats? Greats dont quit

It is what it is . Wasn’t like we were using him correctly anyways . Our freshman TE had more touches

Thomas was talented, no doubt about that. He made some great plays in his (almost) two seasons at UM. Maybe he would’ve achieved Hurricane greatness had he stayed the rest of this season and next. But he didn’t.

Phil Dorsett > Jeff Thomas

I liked the kid until he quit. I appreciate his talent but I can find a lowlight of him fumbling a punt. Quitters don't deserve appreciation threads imo.
From the reports ive been seeing they said he was dismissed from the team. But it did say he was leaving anyway at the end of the year. So until I read something different, you’re more of a Richt apologist!

If you leave, miss practices and meetings, say you're not coming back, and then the team dismisses you... you're still a quitter.

Absent from a string of practices, Thomas is held out of a game and must eventually win over his teammates, who voted whether he should keep his roster spot,” Dan Greene wrote for SI in 2017 ahead of the documentary’s premiere on Fox. “His coaches confide that their star is hard to reach, often hidden behind walls he’s built to protect himself from a harsh environment.”
