Not going to talked about that numerous drops right in the hands of receivers? Add three more completions to that line and your talking about a 72% completion percentage for the game. That’s compared to Malik’s career 45% against P5 teams. Open your eyes and quit being a hater.

Trying to make Perry better than he is. He's better then Malik but he under threw receivers all night. He's not the guy.

Nobody is being a hater. The numbers are what they are. If your bar is Malik Rosier then you may want to set the standard a little higher. Yeah the drops hurt, but if you want to talk about completion %, then you also have to take into account that he still had under 200 yards which means he's throwing short passes which should equate to a high competition %.
 
With good QB coaching, better play calling, and a half decent O line, Perry could do very well here. Blind Mork saw Perry's abilities yesterday. A real coach would have used him from the start of the season.

Mork is done. Fire him.
 
Perry didn’t have a meltdown. His stats would have been better if not for a few drops. And yes, he made a few poor throws too.

The 3 fumbles (one his) were the deciding factor in the game.

Did you see the plays being called? How is he suppose to have more yards where it was screens all night and deep shots to the slowest receiver on the team? Point being made, he had a very good night all things considered and even picked up a couple 1st down on some very nice runs. He’s suffered drops in the FSU, Duke and now this game for whatever reason. Maybe the receivers aren’t used to having a QB throw with velocity but a lot of them are right there on the money.

He does and we don’t know the exact progressions but that was clear as day open,
 
He would look like a different QB in an uptempo Spread system, which is what he is a Spread QB.

I've been saying it since Spring camp, he's a square peg in a round hole, EVERY QB looks like sh*t in Rix's Offense.

He's got enough arm talent to be a good passer, he just doesn't have the Coaching to help accentuate his abilities while minimizing his deficiencies.

His QB coach in Jon fckin Richt for crying out loud, WTF does he know about QB development? Perry, Weldon & Jarren are pretty much learning everything they need to know on their own.

Exactly. If I were watching him for the first time as a fan of a different team I would not have been impressed. Poor accuracy, even on those wide open throws to begin the game. No ability to change a game with his legs. Frail frame that doesn't project at all to standing in there against rugged defenses, if we ever attained a level where it mattered.

He's a freshman so it's not a finalized evaluation, of course, but redshirt freshman is considerably different than true freshman.

At this point I'd say our aspirations have to be considerably higher than N'Kosi Perry
 
There's a direct correlation between the morons that wrote him off after a game or two in his first season and the coach/admin Don Bailey Jr cheerleader types who are looking for any argument to attach positive connotation to the current regime.

"The players suck", "It's the QB's not the system", blah blah blah. Basically the same retarded arguments we heard towards the end of the Coker, Shannon, and Golden tenures.

The truth? Sample size is too small and the current offensive system is too great an abomination to draw ANY logical conclusions on Perry's long term upside. The kid has tools....he can run and he's got natural arm strength. The problem is that the things that make a good qb good are hard to quantify and better expressed in terms of how they respond to particular in game situations. Since those in game situations are absolutely TOXIC right now....I'm going to reserve judgment on Perry until we get a qualified OC in here.

Unfortunately, Perry might not finally see an ounce of decent coaching until his junior or senior year at the rate our inept BOT makes decisions.
 
Take away Perry's first drive and last drive and what is left? Seriously, what the **** did he do the rest of the game? He didn't play horribly, but he didn't do enough to win the game. He did just enough to not get us blown out. Bravo.

By the way, putting up David Woodley numbers isn't impressive at all.

I’m not ready to crown him, but was very glad to see Perry get the start and perform well. I knew he was closer to the FSU game than the UVA game
 
He would look like a different qb IN THIS OFFENSE if he had been allowed to grow and learn from his mistakes from Virgina to now

Agreed. Richt killed his confidence when he benched him -- one ******* week after he bailed him out and gutted out the victory against FSU.

Should have stuck with the kid. Let him work through the growing pains. Rookie move and I'm still shocked and disappointed in Richt for doing that.
 
Neither Rosier or Perry are good enough to offset this OL

I’ve never seen such a horrendous group my entire life as a Canes fan

Then you could imply this to Weldon and JW, as well as any potential QB coming through Coral Gables for the foreseeable future.
 
i'm not convinced Perry has the Rosieriest of futures here, and I'm a fan of Jarren's. But to be fair to the kid, he knows he's under many microscopes. In a close game, with what's been going down, he is unlikely to feel comfortable leading the receiver too much, which is more of a risk for PI. What he does, maybe, cuts down on YAC and looks somewhat shaky, but I'm betting if he did WIN the starting job and got experience and confidence, this would improve a helluva lot.

Probably but we haven’t seen either play extended periods of time. I do think both of them were coached better in HS so they are ahead of the curve as compared to Kosi
 
We need to see Williams next week. There is no reason not to get him on the field for some plays. He is just as mobile as Perry. If we don't get him playing time, he has wasted a year.
