I'm tired of hearing the cupboard was bare.

What we lacked was LB's and RB's and only really got one of each rom the portal and the RB was a backup. Parrish may be our best but is not star material. Our LB depth leaves us with mediocre starters and little back up otherwise we were set if we had found 2 or 3 LB's. Why so many Defensive Linemen instead of LB from the portal? There had to be better RB's out there too, Manny brought in quality players that contributed, Mario brought in players that are no where near the quality Manny did. With what we had there is no way we should be losing and performing so poorly. Manny had Enos and changed, Mario has Gattis, what will he do? I know, our high star players are injured...will we ever see Chaney play? What happened to our speed especially on defense, we get beat deep way too often and even our WR's are slow. Well there is always next year, can't wait for the hype of pre season again where we are sure we are back...sigh!

We have probably like 6 players that will be starting for FSU or Florida, can’t even compare the talent to Ohio st or bama

their coach is light years better. its not a knock on Mario though there. Lincoln is on another level than Mario and he does one thing so exceptionally well on his own that he can take anywhere. Mario isnt a x and o guy. what he does well doesn't work in year 1 unless he brings in top tier coordinators w him

Riley brought OU's two best players with him and also landed the ******* Biletnikoff winner in the offseason. Can't even compare the two hires
 
It’s crazy to type this but I’m watching Gibbs the transfer from Gtech to Bama. And I’m positive if he had transferred here we would be undefeated. That’s how much talent matters. One player and our season is totally different. All those 5 and 15 yard gains we’ve gotten this year would have been possible touchdowns. And don’t say redzone woes because he makes multiple players miss every play. He would have been scoring when we were getting stopped.

Maybe maybe not, but they went and got a top leve QB, the biletnekoff winner at WR, and another blue chip portal Wr from ou, and a 1,400 yard rusher in Travis Dye from Oregon.

Their WRs are elite elite. And their RB is elite.

USC hiring Lincoln Riley probably played a role in Mario leaving Oregon. I think Mario knew the jig was up on the West Coast.

That coach had win at any cost mentality and did everything he could to bring his best players from previous stop with him..

Mario was nice guy said he wasnt gonna do that, Okla has high hate for Riley, he gives zero *****.. JUST WIN BABY

As bad as Manny was (and he was rightfully fired), he was ahead of the curve with the portal. Mario has failed miserably in comparison with identifying our weaknesses and plugging in stopgaps.

everything you said here is true. it's not news to anybody, but i don't think anyone will disagree.

To me Kiffin was always the short term hire - he builds his team through transfers. By the sounds of it he was never getting an interview anyway.

Cristobal was the long play - less flashy, but has the blueprint and recruiting prowess to build us like the current Playoff teams.
