I'm lost is it Kayaa or Oline

There's a difference between being scared and being soft. BK is not a killer, which in Miami terms makes him soft.
On the other hand, the defense looks like a bunch of wendigos out there. A strong D and a run game can take you far.

Kaaya has a lot to prove. I said that here before the season started and got ripped for it. Richt went to the screen game because we weren't completing anything down field. A combination of bad O line play and worse QB play. I thought Richt did a great job of making the adjustment adding more protection and going to the screen game. I'm happy that he actually makes adjustments.... AND THEY WORK! Defense looks amazing. Imagine it with quality depth all around.

I was not at either game because of family commitments so obviously I'm not going to really know what's going on with Kaaya but I have a theory I'll throw out there.

Could it be that Kaaya is having a bigger issue than what we thought in transitioning to a more pro style offense? Could it be that as bad as Xbox Coley was that it was easier for Kaaya to run a more spread type offense especially given his HS background? Just a thought.

Tonight was Kaaya's 27th start, I believe. He should be able to handle the pressure by now.
But I'm also wondering if the wrs were getting separation.

I thought the same...but still doesn't excuse him for 5 over thrown balls...3 which would've been a TD...I'm a Kaaya fan but I hold people accountable...he **** the bed on a bunch of throws this game.

It's a combination of poor OL, receivers who are not as dominant as presumed, and Kaaya needing to reach the next level. Everyone on this site knows that the OL is mediocre and inexperienced. That alone will get in the QB's head, although the OL weakness certainly hasn't slowed Walton. Let's see what Walton does as the competition improves. Then there are the receivers. Coley is the #1 , but he has only shown flashes of speed and elusiveness along with some injuries. Of course, the former coaching staff is responsible for much of Coley's lack of progress. However, there just is a lack of chemistry between him and Kaaya that makes me wonder if Coley will ever match expectations. Meanwhile, Berrios, who showed some good signs in the spring, has not been a major outlet for Kaaya. Njoko has not picked up from his highlight catches of last year although Herndon has played well. Of all the WRs, Richards has shown the most in the first two games. And then there is Kaaya himself. Talk of this junior being a Heisman candidate was extremely premature. He does not have the athleticism to improvise long gains when the opponent defends the intended play. He needs this entire year to digest Richt's offense and learn how a pocket passer picks apart defenses by finding their weaknesses and checking to the open man.

Speaking of the freshman Richards, his three classmates at LB are reason for optimism. They can be great, but greatness will not be achieved as freshmen. The freshman brought in by Richt, and especially those in the class of 2017, will be the foundation of UM's future success. Right now, this team has holes and lack of depth. Look at FSU or Alabama. Take out their best OL-man or LB, and the replacement is one who could start on most CFB teams. This season is one of rebuilding and redesigning, so 7-5 or 8-6 with a decent bowl victory is something to build optimism for the future. I'm sorry, but 9-10 wins is not going to happen.

I agree. The o-line isn't the best but Kaaya gets himself in trouble with his footwork when he gets pressured. Like he really doesn't stay composed well during it. He will suddenly move himself into parts of the pocket he shouldn't or roll into pressure. Not really something that kills him but definitely a flaw that I wish was fixed for the last three years.

This up or down vote thing needs to be modified somehow. If I even look in its direction it registers a vote.

Kaaya pats the ball too much while staring down receivers

He also climbs the pocket SLOW as FVCK

.....Felicia is a bad influence

Kayaa isn't that good. He doesn't handle pressure well at all. He gets rattled incredibly easy (at home against a weak opponent too).

Just not very good once kickoff comes.

N'Kosi is the future of our offense starting next year. Watch.

Most of tonight was on BK. Most of this season will be on the OL.

I disagree with this. In my view, most of tonight was on the OL. They got whipped a lot during the game. Not a good sign for the coming weeks. They better learn how to play big boy football and quick.

There were a couple throws that were barely off the hands of the WRS/TEs for big gainers or TDs.
Kaaya will be fine.

He had time to pass the ball, and he was holding on to the ball too long instead of dumping it off. Even the TD overthrow of Coley. He needs to step up in the pocket and stop dropping back and staying there, making it hard for the tackles. He has not played well today. But it's fixable imo

It was definitely both. The online was getting raped early on and it's almost like Kaaya was throwing scared the rest of the game even when he had protection. He would lock on to his first option and throw it no matter what the coverage was like, I was watching the game on an iPad so correct me if I'm wrong but I can't remember him going through his progression once, sometimes it was because he had pressure sometimes not but it didn't happen.

I think, he just had an bad game, that all. it happen to every qb. defense and running game pick had his back.
