I'm lost is it Kayaa or Oline

The OL definitely needs to improve and his receivers need to get better separation. A QB can feel the urgency to get the ball to the receiver as quickly as possible when they're having problems separating. That's when you see balls off their fingertips. He needs to settle down. He has the potential to be excellent, but he needs to take that next step.

I love this board, but this thread, especially the hate that is being thrown towards Kaaya, is absolutely ridiculous. This thread has become the subconscious manifestation of collective inferior mindsets. First of all, Kaaya, not Walton, is the best player on this team. I love Walton, but you guys are killing me with this logic. Let me get this straight, Walton has a great game against an inferior opponent and immediately gets elevated to the best player on the team? Simultaneously, Kaaya has one bad game, and immediately gets downgraded to an average or "not that good" quaterback. You have to be kidding right?

Kaaya is by far the best player and leader of this team. First of all, go back and watch the game from last night again. Waltons touchdowns from 16 and 31 yards out, we're off of plays that Kaaya changed at the line of scrimmage. Kaaya recognized the coverage and then set Walton up for success with the audible. Those are just two examples of Kaaya abilities that will not show up in the stats.

Kaaya is by far the best QB that we've had since Dorsey's, and Kaaya's ceiling is much higher. Most NFL scouts have him going in the first round of the upcoming draft if he elects to leave early. Meanwhile, our "doom and gloom" fan base says he is not that good. WTF? I get it, some people have to complain about something every minute of the day because that is just who they are are. However, a lot of you fools will complain about not having something to complain about.

Kaaya threw for over 6k yards and had over 40 tds with inept Coley calling the plays the past two years. Richt has purposely called the most vanilla/conservative games possible in the first two match ups and because Kaaya didn't look like Tom Brady, he is now all of a sudden, "not that good!" Enough with s#i+ already!!!

Send this game tape to the NFL and Kaaya won't make ball boy. Can we keep in perspective the pathetic level of the opponent. He should face tougher ones in practice every day. A real team will push our #%*+ in!

Re watching the game right now. Brad Kaaya will be fine. He was trying way to hard. The OL protected him pretty good. He missed a bunch of throws he normally makes. Mostly high throws. There were times when the dump off was there for yards and he forced a deeper throw. It was not as bad as it seem initially imo. It was mostly Kaaya. Few times he got pressure it was around the edge, and he could have stepped up. FAU has a real good DE, #9 . Brad was pressing. He had no problem throwing those short passes on target in the flats.

Its both.
Kayaa's issues last night were due to him being hit, pressured, and the pocket consistently collapsing on him early in the game. Mentally he has to leave the place where if the oline is getting handled then he justifiably can't improvise and perform. I believe he starts to blink rapidly when he is physically shook up (l saw this last night and in other games), and begins to pout when his pocket isn't pristine. In short, he may be feeling himself and expecting that he doesn't have to or shouldn't have to deal with adversity where his pocket is concerned. If this is the case, then its a flaw created and nurtured under Golden who also felt that every dynamic must be made perfect in order for him to be expected to succeed.

Kaaya is usually very accurate, when he isn't, its due to pressure and distrust of the oline. His passes being overthrown and sailing high are a tell-tale sign of this.

Richt needs to work on Kaaya's expectation level and remove his expectation of having Tom Brady's pocket. Kaaya doesn't have Brady's pocket but does have Brady's expectation of what his pocket should be. He must be coached towards reality. The oline coach should aim to and expect that the oline perform up to those standards though. Not saying that we should lower expectation levels at all, but that Kaaya doesn't have the right to shut down and not perform if the oline is struggling.

Kaaya need to work on his hip fluidity and feet movement inside of the pocket as well (stepping into throws and buying time without actually fleeing the pocket). He needs to know that this a required skill of even a "pocket passer."

That said, he'll be fine and I believe in him.

Kaaya simply missed some throws, but the line didn't help him at all either... However they stepped it up in the run blocking game. Kaaya had constant pressure for majority of the night. Some of the receivers were not getting open for whatever reason too. Njoku drops to many passes man on the crossing route that hit him right in the hands would have been for big yardage. Also they dropped td would have been an awesome catch

I'm gonna just say bad game but it looked really bad. The Oline needs dogs ASAP. Kayaa will get it fixed

Kaaya was way off last night. His timing was never there. He made numerous throws wide and high. He also rushed his throws and didn't let plays develop.

We were fortunate last night. Anyone else on the schedule and we probably lose the game.

At this point, any talk about Kaaya and the NFL is complete utter nonsense. He's not ready.

Agreed, and If you're FAU & FAMU, are you gonna try to stop Kaaya or load up in the box?

3 things I saw on offense yesterday.

1. very poor body language and a lack of on-field leadership.
2. Richt not calling a great game early.
3. Dudes not focusing well in the passing game, but more specifically Brad's poor execution. Seems like he was thinking too much and maybe saw things he didn't expect.

We obviously made adjustments and started to pound the run-game and throw screens, but it was clear FAU was focused on taking away the middle of the field from Brad. Good for them. I think their coaching and defensive unit deserves some credit.

I think you're reaching with the psycho-babble. Dude was nails as a true fresher and has never had a clean pocket since he's been at Miami. All he's done is make great plays while taking punishment. Dudes have dropped a lot of balls on this kid over the years and it's been much more about him overcoming adversity than "feeling himself" or having unrealistic expectations. So I don't know why--all of a sudden--with a new QBc/OC & and offense you think he's goes diva, which isn't consistent with his character. Makes no sense and the conclusions you assert aren't supported factually.

come again.

Great point brock. Fans mad that Berrios was non existent and are blaming the game plan, but we are failing to realize is that the WRs were not getting open. Notice how the one FAU DB was attached to Coley and contested his every catch. How many yacs did our WRs have? If Coley was locked then why is it inconceivable that Berrios was as well. And since when does Kaaya not target his admitted favorite target Berrios???

I thought one of the OL (KC?) commented last week about changing the cadence....it looked like the OL just wasn't in sync with Kaaya during the first half not to mention the penalties that were racked up again because of it. In the first qtr. they did see things from FAU they didn't expect also. That was discussed on the post game show. It will get corrected this week.

Mahoney U just mad that I used to dismantle your Golden hyped diatribes on the Herald blog, and as events have unfolded, U were wrong about every man worshipping post U used to spew. U think we forgot??

Check the words I used such as "If this is the case.." "he *may* be feeling…", and "I believe…"

Nothing U ever said was supported factually on the Herald blog or here, so U come again. I clearly conceded that my post wasn't based in facts (see above).

if U didn't like the post or me then scroll on because 99% of the posts on this and any other sports blogs are not factually supported.

I bet U understand and comprehend the theory of "personal responsibility" in the current sociopolitical landscape of America right now, but with Kayaa U don't get it…GTFOH

Anyone have cliff notes version of An Ode to Brad Kaaya?

Bottom line: He sucked last night.

Is this the thread where all the cumbags get to tell us how they were right all along that Kaaya sucks? Well, just make sure you hoes come back when he hangs 400 on FSU and leads us to a win.
