I'm calling out anyone who doubted RB Mark Walton

Walton's not on Scarlett's level. The same way Yearby can't sniff Cook.

You can be a nerdy homer all you want, but the better RBs went elsewhere.

Scarlett has a freak level size/speed combo.

Walton is a very good prospect but lacks elite speed. I see him as a Mike James type player.

Yearby is in the same boat. Slower but shiftier.

He hasn't even played a snap yet. How can any reasonable person pass judgment on the kid one way or the other?

Who are you mildly trying to call out?

I think everyone is glad Walton is at Miami

He's probably calling out one porster one time that made a negative reference to Walton (maybe the only one) in a 4958 post thread.

Someone said it before. Nobody said Walton sucks. WE were all just looking forward to 2 backs being here. RB's can go down quickly as we have seen with Gus. We needed 2 guys. Can't send Dallas back to RB as we need him as Safety. WE need 2 RB's to stick this year in the 2016 class no matter if Golden or any other coach is here.

OP there was a select few who were negative on Walton but you're extremely over exaggerating that.

I'll be honest. I did have Scarlett higher than Walton but that was prior to their final seasons of high school football. Scarlett had more of a track record before going into their final seasons. I put Walton over him as the season progressed. Walton is just more polished and more complete. I have seen both live, no bias. Although I will not deny that Scarlett has incredible straight line speed, at the same time he's not very agile.

Dexter was the one I was really more upset about losing due to his incredible versatility that I liked. Cause he could have been used on special teams too. He has what I consider a wild card ceiling. He could have been ridiculously good but he's so injury prone that it could potentially hold him back. Something that 2017 RB commit Robert Burns has.(For anyone who doesn't know, yes.... Robert Burns is injury prone.)

I speak with Larry Blustein often. Same sentiments I had about Walton and Scarlett. Walton is just the better prospect, that doesn't mean Scarlett is a slouch at all.

You don't need a freak athlete to have a great RB. Lot of people have that confused big time.

I had Walton and Scarlett on same level for readiness to play right away then Cronk and then Dex following behind. Cronk had the lowest ceiling of the 4 IMO, I liked Cronk more as a safety. In terms of ceiling, Scarlett is what you see is what you get... Which is not a bad thing at all. Walton and Dex had/have room to grow a bit more. Walton in the weight room and Dex a bit in the weight room and in terms of becoming more of a pure RB.

Walton in my eyes is the best one coming in to college. Can that change? Yes, but that will be decided on the field. I just view Walton as most complete skillset.

There is a lot more to a RB than just straight line speed.

Last year I have read on here people calling Mark Walton "average" or nothing special.

I want anyone who doubted Mark Walton to come in this thread or have the balls to stand by your statement.

I'm saying this because Mark Walton may be our best RB on the team as a true freshman.

Mark Walton is a stud who can do everything well and is our toughest runner.

I was reading a lot of people saying Scarlett is better. What a joke. Scarlett is bigger and faster and yet Mark Walton still runs 2x harder and tougher than Scarlett. If you don't believe me, just watch the tape. Walton has the better vision, patience, and is better in close space.

Don't even compare their receiving abilities because Mr.Walton is an elite receiver out of the backfield.

Just remember people. On that talented Booker T squad, Mark Walton was the best athlete and best football player. Period. Not only was he the best, he was the leader of that team. All the kids looked up to Mark.

I'm telling ya'll now there were tons of people on this board sleeping on Mr.Walton they will soon see how good this kid is.

Go Canes.

What a useless thread........congrats, you had it right.......EVERYONE else was wrong, but you know better.

Scarlett has more upside.

Not a single person ever called Walton average. Those are the voices in your head.

This, to add my cousin used to play for boone up there and hes cool with all the coaches up in orlando i also have a boy that coaches for moore and everytime i brought up dex to them they always tell me that he was overrated, they said that hes way too injury prone and soft, i never saw the kid live the only time i had a chance to he was hurt

Ive seen scarlett live a couple of times and the kid is a freak with his size and speed, his lateral quickness lacks, his vision isnt that great but those are things you can work on, when comparing both of them its very similar to the yearby and cook comparison, when yearby was more complete at that time but cook had a higher ceiling

Bet Scarlett is kicking himself as he would have had a good chance to start as a freshman here

I'm gonna start a thread calling out all of you mopes that doubted Mr. Beau Sandland.

Man if you started a thread and decided to band all posters who predictions were wrong since 2011 95% of the board would be gone. Me included lmfaooo.

I Never thought Golden would have the program in worse shape than it is right now.

I thought Robert Marve was gonna save this program.

Bro, you bringing even more pain to my heart... i thought they(Marve & Harris) were too. Then I also thought Randy kind of had things figured out in his 4th season only to **** the bed and disaster strikes again when we lost Teddy B and the gang.

I just remember my pops and brother looking at me saying, "yall keep ******* up were going to catch up and the state will belong to FSU".

At this rate Al is allowing that happen. SMFH!
