If you’re on the fence about Bama vs UGA…

$ec replay? cool bro. That clownass on the plan can keep his covid, his short shorts and his croakies.
Won't watch. Don't care. F@ck Merschel Walker too while I'm at it.

Arguably top 3-5 campuses in the world.

Think "if Disney did your landscaping"
3-5 in the world. No… top 35 in the United States is fair. That’s from both an architectural or beauty point of view. I put an architectural top fifty link earlier in this thread. They rated number 38. I thought that was a bit too generous. Worldwide they wouldn’t sniff a top 100. It’s an incredible campus and deserves a ton of respect. It’s not NEAR the level or a Yale or Stanford. Google away and you too will see it’s great, but not that.

Hard to believe Wake Forest is on the list. Was there in December. The quad is nice but it ends there. If you go in the buildings they are very disappointing. Student center and the cafeteria in the basement were a joke. Harvard was ok. Looked a lot better on tv and the internet. North Carolina was nice but campus is a hodgepodge and students have a hard time getting around a campus that has little organization.

Miami’s campus is much improved from when I lived nearby. The new student center is pretty on the outside with nothing of note inside. Surprised at that.

Duke, Virginia, and Stanford are my favorite campuses. My son is considering all 3 but after touring Georgia, that’s his favorite. I love U of Pennsylvania but you do have to step off campus every now and again.
Duke, Virginia and Stanford! **** 🧠 If he’s accepted to those three universities and chooses to attend Georgia… WTF
Doesn’t compute. That’s a multimillion dollar mistake. With grades and scores like that, he should be able to attend any university almost for free. My closest friends son who attends the University of Chicago just accepted a two month internship and it’s paying $50,000. Educations like that don’t get passed on.

We weren't talking academic ranking (although they are excellent), but rather campus "beauty".

IMHO, there isn't a nicer looking campus Yale, Stanford, Duke, and Pepperdine included (although the cliff view is kinda nice).

In the eye of the beholder as always, your mileage may vary.

I wasn’t talking about academics either. As I stated in my post, the campus from an architectural and beauty standpoint, Wake was ranked number 38. I put a link. Academically is another discussion completely

Like ranking the Mona Lisa vs Starry Night. If you like it, you like it.

Root for Bama. They're already a superpower, winning or losing tonight does nothing to enhance or diminish their program one iota.

If UGA wins, even though they're already super elite, it distances them from Miami even more than they already are.

The less distance between Miami and everyone else, the better.

So, Bama is the pick tonight. Not debatable. Continue to leave UGA in 1980.

How about I look on completely disinterested and hope they both lose?
The Seattle Kraken take on the Colorado Avalanche tonight at 9pm. I'd rather listen to the AM radio call of that game alone in the dark than watch one second of this game and the accompanying SEC slurpfest.

I like to refer to the chart taped to the beer cooler before answering these kinds of important questions:

a) NEVER UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES: Florida + Florida State

b) NEVER UNLESS PLAYING "a": SEC (except Missouri and Vanderbilt), Central Florida (the one in Orlando), Central Florida (the one in Tampa), Clemson, Michigan, North Carolina, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Oregon, Penn State, Stanford, Texas, USC, Virginia

So Bama vs. UGA? Like most of the rest of y'all: F 'em both and Go Canes

Pulling hard for UGA tonight, son is a Sr there and daughter graduated from there in 2019. Go Dawgs!!!!

This is exactly why HBCUs are a threat to the P5..

I'm going to watch it tonight, should be a great game. Originally I wasn't wild about the idea of a rematch but these are clearly the 2 best teams left. (Side note, I would have enjoyed watching a 3rd place game today between Cincy and Michigan.)

Obviously not rooting for either team tonight though, so trying to find a silver lining with either outcome:

Bama wins - they keep doing what they do, nothing changes. Georgia still hasn't won in 40 years etc..
Georgia wins - I know gator fans detest Georgia and they would absolutely hate watching Georgia win a championship. I can get behind that.

Either way... ***** Bama, ***** Georgia, Go Canes, and I can't wait to see how this year's recruiting class finishes!

wtf would you want bama to win ANOTHER championship? always had a soft spot in my heart for UGA because if they don't beat texas in '83 in their bowl game, we have no chance of winning a championship vs nebraska. Texas would've been the champion instead.

Go dawgs!
